Leave a CommentI'm being called more than once a day, nearly every day by this phone number. When I answer there is no one there. I am on the Do Not Call Registry.
Just called my cell phone. When I answered, no one was there.
THIS SAME PHONE # KEEPS CALLING ME, HE SEEMS TO KNOW MY NAME AND DOESNT GET ANY FURTHER WITH US BECAUSE IT CALLS ON AN AUTODIAL OR SO****ING DO NOT ACCEPT CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
i called it back and it did said like a recording. i NEVER pick up my phone because if i don't know the number i dont pick up. i have about 20-35 miss calls from that 575-382-6813. they always call me at 9 am to all day. i am ready to get my cell phone number c****e a***n. does anyone know how to get them to stop calling me???????????
I am at 17 missed calls on my cell phone. I agreed last June to review the movie which sits on a shelf as I really have not had the time. I wonder if I could return it as I did not open it. I have no idea how they got my number but they informed me it was legal for them to call. I was thinking a bullhorn might do the trick next time they call. I mean at what point does it become harrassment?
They have called me at least 5-10 times a day!!! Like everyone else here said that it sounds as if the voices are computer generated...any idea how to stop them...I also noticed the computer needs time to recognize and ****yze my voice....kind of odd way of doing marketing...
This is a computer. It has EXREMELY sophisticated vocal/grammatical recognition capabilities. However, it can't quite handle phrases like "lugubrious intellectual trio spasm." (Yes, I know it makes no sense... but they were the first four words that popped into my head while I was conversing with this thing.)Try it... it comes unglued.
yup real, movies are old school kids movies, alright. If you dont give the review back to them they will continualy call the **** out of you. So if you do agree ya better answer the phone and tell them about the movies.=)
Yes, it certainly does look like everyone in Ohio is being plagued by this. I agreed, to get the "Kids First" films, I have yet to view them but I have been getting calls multiple times a days. Likewise, to what others have said, I get to response either, when I actually do pick up the phone. I guess none of us are alone.
This is definitely one of the number Featured Films for Families is using to distribute those dvd sample things. My mom got the call on both her home phone and cell phone, I got it on my cell phone. I agreed to it at first but got incredibly bored wat****g one of the horrible DVD's they sent about a river rafting trip and s****ed ****ing up on them when they called because I hadn't watched the ****** movies. Now, TWO MONTHS LATER, after a haitus, I'm getting calls from this number on my cell phone at least once or twice a day, and the few times I have actually answered it, there has been no response on the opposite side, just silence. Unfortunately, there's no way to block the number on my cell...It looks like a lot of Ohio-ans are having this problem...
I keep getting this call too. I answered it the first time and they s****ed talking about the dvd's. I figured it was a salesman so I ***g up, but the calls keep coming. I don't want any business from them.
I think I should mention this.If you ARE on the DO NOT CALL list and this company isn't complying with FTC laws, you may file a complaint at donotcall.gov The culprit can be fined up to $11,000 per incident.Another lesser known FTC prohibition is that it is illegal for telemarketers to use an automated system to make calls to cell phones. This comapny is certainly using an automated system. Call the FTC and file a complaint.
They've been calling me all summer. It totally sounded like a real person on the phone, too. I have yet to watch the videos; I doubt I ever will. I think they are some religious organization and I think my kids are too old for it anyways. I don't know how they got my cell number and since they're on the other side of the U.S., they call me at 11:00 at night--I never answer. I wish I'd never agreed to this....
Apparently this is the family movie outfit for which I agreed to review a movie. I have ignored the two follow up calls they've made and finally decided to go to this site to check it out.I too agreed to receive and review the movie, but haven't had the opportunity to view it yet; it arrived weeks ago.I generally will not answer calls from unknown numbers; this number never leaves a message---When I spoke to the original solicitor, it sounded and behaved like a real person to me. I do not understand how they got my cell number; all numbers I have are on the Do Not Call list. My wife occasionally gets the Feature Films for Families or whatever they're called. If those people somehow got a hold of my cell number and sold it, I will be seriously ****ed.
These calls are evidently coming from a few different numbers in my case, because the first time they called, I agreed to do the survey/whatever it is and was quite ****ed that they'd managed to get my cell phone number- which, at the point in time when they first called me, I'd never used monster and had just gotten a new cell plan w/ a new service provider. My point is that when I got the first call, I listed them as "telemarketer" in my contact list, so I knew who was calling with that number. I think I may get them blocked, because they'd already sent the same junk to my parents house and I'd seen it there, so I just think it's annoying as sin now... I now know who's calling with the 2nd number because of the info provided on this website. Thank you. :)

i got the call at 915am... at the end of May i got the dvds and i had a summer job at a camp so i couldnt watch them or give my opinion, they used to call all the time for my opinion but i told them i hadnt watched the movies yet, which was true... this is the first call iv recived in a long time... i think its quit annoying... ya, the dvds are real and pretty good... and you dont get charged in any way...
I got this call too. I'm in the world of audio recording and music so I am very atuned to recorded voices. I too noticed that the caller's voice sounded almost like a perfect digital recording but it somehow seemed human too. Once or twice during the question and answers there was a slight awkward pregnant pause as though a computer was processing my reply but not any more than if a guy was typing or writing what I had said. If it's computerized, it's THE very best artificial intelligence I've ever heard. I let "him" send me the DVD and as said in another post, the movies are quite good but very predictable as to their outcome so they lack depth in the scripts. It seems to be a Christian organization of some sort, bent on making clean family movies with m****s and all that. I got a followup call last week, which was part of the deal, and I said that I had only watched one of the movies so far. I said I was busy and could they call back later. The very polite person or computer said they'd call back at a more convenient time. It or he called my cell phone today but I didn't get to it in time. It or he didn't leave a message. By the way, they can't charge you for the DVD because you didn't give them a credit card number.
I have recieved and viewed the movies that you sent and my grandchildren seem to enjoy them. The 4 year old and 3 year old loved the one about the bunnies. The older children 7 years and 8years eenjoyed the mystery one. The contesnt was very good, and the main part was the values taught in the film.
Got the same call, I think it is a computer. I got the dvd's but haven't watched them yet to give my opinion. The company called a***n today, but I didn't answer. I hope they don't bill me for them. I shouldn't have said I would preview them since I don't really have the time to watch movies. The return address on the envelope is KIDS FIRST! 514 W. Pickett Circle Ste 4 SLC (Salt Lake City), UT 84115Contact info on the note inside is 800-932-1978 website www.kidsfirst.org or www.smarttelevisionalliance.orgIncidently, I am currently using moster.com to find a job, and I think all my junk email and sales calls are coming from my parti****tion on that site. If this seems to be the case for anyone else, maybe we should put monster.com on notice!
i got the dvd's from them. the guy sounds weird, like a computerized voice. i am not certain that it is a human voice, but the dvd's are real.
i got a call from this number and did a reverse lookup and it said white sands, when i called back it was busy.i know noone in white sands.
I received a call from 575-382-6813 twice. I called back it automaticly rung busy. I then called back days later and got a person who answered the phone as "Jessie" (male). He said he was with an agency who is trying to get opinios on t.v. viewing for family's. he wanted me to accept an offer to receive two free dvd's to give my oppinion about, with no obligation to me. I was really dumbfounded, and began to ask about him and his company a***n. He then began to reintroduce himself as "John" I told him ethat wasnt the nme he gave in then begining, he said it was, he had me to hold and a young female came in she said some of the smae things that Jessie had told me, she said all they would need is my name and address, no obligation to buy but they do have offers for movies at a discounted price. After it was all said and done she said she will transfer me back to "Jessie" She caught herself and said "John" She told me that she manages over a Jessie too. I ***g up.
