When I answered the phone, I heard a lot of talking in the background and they ***g up.

Got a call at 9:10 pm of friday night didnt answer it called it back right away and guess what? A disconnected number****igned to the number of 575-524-0996. Really? LEAVE US ALONE AND TAKE YOUR SCAMMING ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Same story as others. Said he was a Microsoft Contractor. When I asked for a number to call him back he gave me a scrambled version of my own cell number, but only 9 digits. I repeated it back, asked if that was right, he said yes. I asked if he thought I was ******, he said "Yes, you are ******"

Wow I am glad I searched this number. I answered and he said he was "Alex" and that my computer is infected with a virus. He asked if I downloaded any new software or updated it from the internet and I said no. He asked if I could log onto my computer and when I asked which one he got mad and rude saying, "Your home computer ma'am. The one you use for personal use. Your laptop!" I told him which one we have three lol. He didn't like that, he told me that the virus will spread to the other two if I didn't fix it right away! So I asked if I could have a number to call him back to make sure he really works for Microsoft to which he replied, "I am not with Microsoft. They never call people they are too big a company. I am a contracted representative." blah blah blah. He said, "If I am a scammer I would not be sending you notifications to your computer informing you of the virus." (I have very good virus software and have not received any notifications). This phone number should never be answered to. Please head my warning and everyone else's on this page. Do not give them info.

They called me for the first time tonight. I heard of the scam concerning microsoft. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO!!! THEY WILL HACK YOUR COMPUTER, GET ALL YOUR PASSWORDS, BANKING INFO AND ROB YOU BLIND!!! DO NOT ANSWER IF THEY CALL YOU!! Stay safe, fellow humans!!

I seriously hate spammers. Don't fall for this person's tricks, and report him to the police immediately.

I also do not answer numbers I do not know and if they do not leave a voice mail then I don't call back or anything...if they are trying to reach you but it's not important enough to leave a message so****ing's wrong.

Called the number back after receiving at least 4 calls from them (I don't answer numbers I don't know!) and reading comments here. The number is disconnected. I am sure someone is using s****ing software and not calling from that actual phone number, so don't blame the pour guy whose info is listed in the comments!!! He probably disconnected after getting all these people calling him bac****

They called me 2 times today, back to back. Could not answer as Iwas in class. No message left.

These people won't quit calling me and everytime I call B.S...you would think they would lose my number.

Man with heavy accent claiming to be from Microsoft Certified Instant Tech Support - wanted access to my computer so that he could fix the virus that Microsoft found. B.S.

Received a call on my cell phone claiming the call was from Microsoft & that they've been receiving error messages from my computer. Asked me was I aware of the problem, I said no. He asked if my name was ********. He knew my name! (Creepy) Man has an indian type accent. He wanted me to turn on my computer & I said I wasn't near it right now. He said he would wait a few minutes. I said, no, you don't understand, I'm not in the same location as my computer right now. He asked when he could call back, 2 hours? I said no. He said, when then? I said try me tomorrow. Seems very, very su****ious and after reading these other comments, I will be sure not to answer.

This number is continually calling me saying they are from Microsoft and that there is a problem with my windows computer. I tried to call the number back and there is no answer and no voice mail message. Seems very su****ious.
