This number that calls is NOT Brad Larrick.IT IS A SCAMDO NOT provide any info... NOTHING at all!My Business Cell got a call just a few minutes ago and I dont even own a car with any type of warranty what so ever. Here is a nice site that has a script to follow when/IF they call you back and you answer it - http://telemarketinglawsuit.com/evidence-collectionIF you feel comfortable with this, I say try it. I mean, what can they do, they are on the other end of a phone line, hundreds, if not thousands of miles away. They are not going to make a personal trip to see you just for hanging up on them or making them feel stupid.C'mon people, Im sure thousands of people have looked at this site and have not done anything except avoid the calls... enough with complacency, take things into your own hands and show these f***ers they cant scam us!... or you can sit around and do nothing and write about it on the internet.BTW - DONOTCALL.GOV is for USA ONLY and WILL NOT work in this instance - This is a scam, NOT a 'reputable' telemarketer. For Canadians - http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/DNCL/brochure_consumer.htm
I think what they are doing is using some sort of auto dialer. This will generarte random numbers following an area code. The person running this would enter an area code (403) for instance and then the software would generate numbers at random and call them. Providing you answer the phone call, the persons involved now know it's active and a legit phone number and will keep calling it till you hang up on them or actually speak to that girl who you get transfered too. This kind of activity is called Phishing and is a form of Identity Theft. This activity is, of course, illegal in Canada and the USA however there are different law's governing this depending on where your are located geographically in your respective country/s.You would think that the Telus', Sprint's, Rogers, etc would have something in place to stop this kind of activity but they do not.I called Telus last night and spoke to management about this kind of activity. They told me that I HAD to change my phone number (there is no other choice) to avoid this but that there is not 100% that the calls will stop. He informed me that they cannot stop or block a phone number from hitting their network and that this will probably get worse before it gets better.... Not what I wanted to hear from one of Western Canadas leading service providers...If you have received this call and want to try to stop it, please visit the following link. It is a Canadian Link but has some useful info for the people in the USA. Its related to ID Theft but has a lot of relative info that you can use and apply to this situation. http://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/prg/le/bs/phish-en.asp ALSO - SPREAD THE WORD! PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THIS IS HAPPENING SO THEY WILL NOT BE AFFECTED! PUT TOGETHER EMAILS TO YOUR FAMILY/FRIENDS/LOVED ONES ETC. LETS GET THE WORD OUT!!!!!
Like Ryan I received this call on my telus business cell. I pressed 1 to go to a real person as my Toyota warrantee just ran out. This was not Toyota or any real company. A female answered and asked for my personal info to verify my identity. I asked her who she worked for? She said the warrantee company. Which warrantee company? A: The one for your vehicle. What kind of vehicle do I own? A: I do not have that information as it is locked in our "secure database". I could also hear lots of noise in the back ground of general office work and chatter. THIS IS A SCAM!! These people will offer you a warrantee no doubt at a great price. Dont fall into this type of scam. Also it does'nt matter who your phone is with they are using an auto dialer that is calling every phone number in Alberta!!There are many of these scams on the go and are either in Quebec or some African country!!!
received incoming call from 560-822-3386 on my unpublished (Telus) cell phone. I didn't answer because I did not recognize the caller. One time event. Maybe using a random dialer using Canadian area codes.

So, i got a phone call on my business cell. This is strictly a business cell and do not use it for personal use, unless with my wife or close family members. I found it strange that the automated voice said that this was the second time they have called regarding my vehicle warranty nearing its exiry date. I dont own a vehicle that has any manufacturers warranty. Needless to say I hung up. I am also receiving this call on my home number in Calgary which I do not have in the phone book and is not published anywhere. My wife has also received this exact same call on her Cell Phone. Both of our personal cells are through Telus Mobility. My business cell is alos through Telus but on a business plan of course. Our home phone is IP telephony via Shaw cable out of Calgary as well.

Repeated calls - take me off the list please
I got the call too - thankfully it was a missed call! What happened to our do not call list?? Since I also got one from california today too
Has called me several times. I picked up the phone and they say nothing and then hang up.
"Reject", I pressed
I didn't know where the area code is from, so i didn't answer it, and i'm glad that i didn't.
DO NOT CALL AGAIN! Multiple attempted to calls but will not leave a message. You are wasting our time!
I DONT EVEN HAVE A CAR
selling extended warranty on car
so annoying. stop calling
dont call me again
Quit calling buggers!!! Or at least leave a message about WHO you are and what its for!
Telemarketing calls to unpublished cell phones. Must be using a war dialer.
who is this, they said that my car warranty is about to expire and i have to speak to a representative to claim a new one, they have called twice and this time they said that this was the last call
As described by others.
Called to tell me this was my last warning about my car warrantee was about to expire which I know it was not. I ask them a few question about who they were but they became defensive and hung-up. They are obviously fishing for vulnerable people who they can milk cash from. I have to believe telling people their car warrantee is about to expire is misrepresentation and illegal.
Calls and never leaves messages Doesn't even know numbers are in Canada
called about vehicle warranty and ask me for all the information except phone number. they only new my number because they called me and didn't know anything else. They confirmed to me that this was a scam when the guy didn't know where ottawa, ontario is. I then explained to him how stupid he is.
I keep getting a call from this number and all there is is dead air
"Vehicle warranty" scam. I hope these people get busted and shut down - I hate having to deal with this [email protected]
