He called and stated that he has a sworn affidavit, saying that I owed $300 plus dollars for so****ing I paid off years ago. And said that if I didn't pay the sheriff's office would be at my door. I said go ahead, I'll be waiting.

Rec'd voicemail saying they were calling for a Ronnie Parker and that they would be serving them papers within the next 24 hours. When I called to have my number removed they advised they were calling about a claim under my ***her. When I explained that I was his daughter, he was very willing to give me any and all information about the claim without verifying anything with me.

This is an illegitimate attempt to extort money via debt collection in violation of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Ignore/block the number.

Same situation as someone already posted about a person being deceased over 10 yrs ago , saying they were pursuing a legal matter. Total scam!

Called regarding a person who has been deceased for over a year, saying they were pursing a lawsuit over some matter.

Claimed that I took a loan out with Cornerstone (?) and was set to have payments made out of my bank account. NEVER HAPPENED. Only loans I've had was for houses and cars. He claimed he had sworn affidavits from the bank manager. For $200 we could put this all behind me.
