I live in CO. I have debts from over 3 years ago. Since then, I have been working on my credit. Just recently, I decided to file bankruptcy. I received a call like this late last year, she called a stated that I wrote a check with a payday loan company and the check would be considered a bad check and I would be arrested. I fell for it, but then called my lawyer who stated I should receive a statement or do***ent from them. When I called them back, they were so rude. They told me that they don't work from me, they work for the creditor and they didn't have to send me anything. I told them to cancel the payment and I don't care because I know my rights as a consumer. Two weeks later they took the funds out. So I got my bank to investigate. My bank thought it was weird because there was no way to contact them. I got my money back, but it was a nightmare. Strange thing I received a call from the same number that called you, but did not answer. After resear****g the company this morning , it does the same exact thing as the one experienced. Don't call back. They will only try to scare you by saying you will be arrested or so****ing. It's not worth it; everything they do is illegal.

This company called my sister yes****ay about a debt she paid off a long time ago. They were rude threatening jail etc. My sister is consulting an attorney suggested by the company they are suposedly trying to collect for. I don't know about the state of NY but in TX the entire call was illegal!

I received a call from 585-563-5200 today.  They left a message I couldn't understand completely.  It referred to electronic transfers and he said he wasn't comfortable leaving any more details on my phone message.  He asked me to call him back.  I don't think I will.  I have no outstanding debts and am not planning to transfer any funds electronically through anyone but my bank.
