Got a call from this number the wanted *** for money!!! How terrible!!!

Got a call from this number today claiming to be Velocity Credit Union stating that my credit account was suspended and that I needed to reactive it and to do so I had to give them my 16 digit account number.  This is odd because I've never even heard of this credit union and I certainly would never be ****** enough to give a card number, if I had one from this place, to some electronically generated voice on phone.  I tried calling the number back but got a recording saying that the number was disconnected.  What a pathetic attempt at a scam.  Sad thing is, some people will be ****** enough to fall for it.

I got a fake call from this number. I was saying that I got social security grant of $3000. Just I could not understand was how they got my number and full address?

Call came to my cell phone. Recording from a bank that I could not understand the name, said my credit card was being suspended for unauthorized use and asked me to input my credit card number.  I tried to input a fake number, thinking I would be connected to a CSR, but the only options I was given was the correct account number or the incorrect account number.  First, I do not give my cell phone number out to any companies; two, as far as I am aware, none of my credit cards have been used by an unauthorized user; and three, I would never input a credit card number into a system of a company I didn't know.  Coincidentally, a co-worker received a similar call on her cell phone about two hours after my call.
