Leave a CommentThis phone number is****ociated with a shady company called Protection Source LLC, but they do business under other aliases as well, including Total Home Delivery, Metro Delivery LLC, and Compass. All owned by the same people. They target people who just bought a new house and get their phone numbers by running an intricate scam. They leave a (professional looking) notice on your door step, suggesting that they tried to deliver a package. The notice has a local phone number and confirmation number and requests you to call them. When you do, you will be on their call list and you will be targeted by sales people who will try to sell you a security system. Alternatively, they claim they represent GE and want to give you a free security system. Do not let them into your house. This is not a reliable company, they are out to get your personal information and are possibly trying to scout your property as well.
I answered the call after 3rd time this week. The guy said calling from GE and my home is chosen to be sponsored for new GE security system. Asked if I have one now, briefly described theirs in very generic manner. Pushed for setting up the appointment and then asked to verify my date of birth and previous address, and the secondary phone number for alerts. I didn't provide the information and then was transferred to 'compliance' person. Lady continued pressing for the same info. I'm sure it's a scam now. Waiting for my house to get robbed or iden***y compromised.
