This "company" calls my office constantly, even though I have repeatedly told them that we don't even own the building and just rent office ****e! Last I checked, we don't HAVE a natural gas account! I agree - nice try.

These people refuse to take me off their list.  MX Energy is the name they used to me and I can't seem to get them to really stop calling me.

MX Energy has called my company several times and left very "urgent" sounding messages.  I returned the messages only to find the person I was supposed to speak with was in a meeting or on another line.  I was asked to leave a message - verbal only - with the person who originally answered the phone.  You'd think that they would at least have voicemail (clue #1).  I googled MX Energy and found nothing of interest but I did find this blog. (clue #2)So once I called back and was on hold for five minutes "Christine" finally answered the phone.  She informed they were "partnered" with PSE&G which the gas/electric company that services my office in Jersey.  Once I could tell that it was a noisy call center (clue # 3) and that "Christine" was obviously reading from a cue card (clue #4) I knew it was a scam I listened to what she had to say - hard pressure selling a price fixing program for gas and electric - I declined - was pressured more and she escalated the call to her manager "David" and when I informed him the office is closing by the end of the month he abruptly ended the conversation and ***g up.  Not even half an hour later I got a call a***n - blocked caller id - from "Emily" from MX Energy giving me the same s***ch.

MX Energy / AGR called today attempting to play off as an outsource of Columbia Gas.  Nice Try.

Received call from them as well today - asked to call back 1-800-836-6961 - sounded like they said MX Energy; background noise seemed like a very busy boiler room - googled MX energy - found web-site with no phone number of 1-800-836-6961 nor 602-516-1062 (p***nix AZ area) nor any location in P***nix - also found blogs on MX Energy as a scam compamy - this seems like a scam company taking the iden***y of another scam company if that makes any sense - As they apparently don't -

I'm an office manager for a construction company and this number has left messages twice saying how we must call them back, etc. I looked up the number on this site and confirmed my initial thought, that this is a scam. I called it back and insisted I be removed from the calling list. The person who answered was very nice and said that our number will be removed within 24-48 hours. Hopefully that will work, if not I will contact the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Protection and CT's Attorney General if need be. These people are ridiculous.

SCAM!SCAM!SCAM!!!Do NOT give these scammers any personal information.They ask for your social security number.They're located in P***nix, AZ.

I got a call from this place last week and yes****ay.Glad I checked this site and know for sure it is a scam.Seems it is a small ring of scammers as the same girl called both times.These people should be ashamed of themselves.I hope they don't sleep at night.BTW- get on the Do Not Call Registry.If you warn them you are on that, you can sue them if they call a***n.

Received a call which appeared as "AGR" on caller ID on 2/26/08. Got a sales pitch from a woman who said she was calling from Spark Energy. She said their company could save me money on my natural gas bill. I was su****ious and for kicks I asked her questions which she couldn't answer and she handed the phone to a guy. He said he works with Spark Energy and he needed information from me to see if we qualified to get on a special program to get our natural gas prices reduced through PG&E. I He asked for my PG&E account information and I told him I didn't have it available, He then said he'd get a PG E representative on the phone and we could have a conference call and she could guide us through the process. The first question she asked was "What is your social security number?"CLICK! I ***g up on them immediately

I just got a phone call from the same Arizona number.  I have just moved so I don't have a gas account number.  "Anita" seemed confused and then the Manager came on the line. He said I needed to call my gas company for my account number and one of his****ociates would be calling me back in a half hour to get the information and get me signed up on a "Price Point Protection Plan". I called my gas company and they are not affiliated with anything of that sort.

This MX Energy is annoying. They call our businness almost daily and every day we tell them not to call anymore - but, like most telemarketers they still call back. They are not affiliated with your Natural Gas or Electric Company. They want you to switch to their company for your natural gas and electricity, I think it's just another telemarketing scam also.... They always leave the call back number 1-800-836-6961 x1132

Annoying telemarketing scam

No message, but this number has called me before, and has no connection that I know of to my energy provider, NIPSCO. I have gas and electric with them, not this "AGR", who ever they are.

Wayne Chancey called and asked for someone in accounts payable/billing. ***ody was available so I took a message. It was about a MX Energy (natural gas) account. We had propane at 1 time, but not natural gas. The return number he gave me was 1-800-836-6961.

Received a call...couldnt understand what he said...so****ing about AMEX Energy.............
