ps-It is always possible that people on this site who are claiming the calls are from AMEX and that it is "legit" could very well be part of the scammer's company. Better safe than sorry.

Well, I am on the DNC list and have NEVER had an AMEX card so they called me illegally.

I just received a call form this number on my cell phone, and I didn't answer, so they called my work.  It was AMEX Travel confirming a flight price c****e for one of my reps.  The number is legit.

I received a call from the same person stating he was with american express and he was calling regarding my account. Gave a c/b phone# of: 800-927-0632 which is AT & T and said they were openf rom 6am - 10pm MTN and on Sa****ay from 8-4. He said his name, and it sounded so****ing like "Rishrow"? I contaced AMEX who said ***ody called my phone # from their company

I received it as well, I called my AMEX Platinum Number and they confirmed ti and directed me to the same number.  I applied for the Green Card.  I did NOT receive the call for my Platinum card however.

I received the same call from 602-766-6484 this afternoon. I went to AMEX's web site and called their listed customer service #800-567-1085 to confirm that someone from AMEX called me today. The AMEX rep confirmed it, as well as my application approval. I have a fraud alert on my credit report, so I'm glad AMEX called to confirm the application.

Yeah, it's legit. New Accounts department from AMEX.

It's American Express. The call is from India and routed through Arizona. I applied online for another Amex. I got a call from this number confirming the application. They called my cell phone using the phone number I used on the application. They then called my work number since they had it on file from my other Amex cards.

I receieved a call in the afternoon today from a guy saying that he was from Amex he was calling from no.  1-602-766-6484 and left a toll free no:  866 379 3***.It seems to be a scam.
