I went to Famous Footwear at 401 E. Bell Rd location to look at some s***s. I did not find exactly what I wanted but the salesperson told me that I can return the s***s within 30 day period if I do not wear them outside. I bought the s***s for $59.55 including tax. Same evening I went to Wal-Mart and found s***s that are more comfortable and nicer looking for just under $20. I tried to return the next day the s***s I purchased at Famous Footwear and even though I never wore the s***s, and had the receipt the return was refused. (It is stated on their receipt that they can refuse the return for any reason or without one, but they do not tell you that when you buy the s***s). I spoke to the shift manager Nicole and she told me she does not care I how many customers the store will lose because of the negative review that I am going to post; she prefers the store to make the immediate profit of $59.55. I said fine and posted this review. I shop at Wal-Mart now and a***n, but I am not a big fan of it. Wal-Mart has never been the bench mark for good customer service, and if Famous Footwear loses to Wal-Mart not only in price, but in quality of product and customer service as well- Famous Footwear is in real trouble. I usually do not write reviews for the lack of time and mostly because I do not care to provide any feedback. But I think that the times when a store can rip you off and continue business as usual are over. Poor customer service in the age of social media will bring you the exact amount of traffic you deserve. I encourage anyone who had a bad experience with this store to express their opinion online.
