GRR! I recently subscribed to the Desert Sun Newspaper. I received my 1st paper last Sunday. On Sunday morning I answered a call from a weird number which turned out to be a lady from the newspaper. I told her I received my paper and everything was just freakin' peachy.  Since then I have received 6 more **** courtesy calls from random numbers all going back to the same message! "Hi. This is your newspaper. Sorry we missed you earlier today. We were calling to check on your service and to make sure everything was going ok and to see if you have any questions. If you do, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks so much. Buh-bye. BEEP" I called the Desert Sun and asked to be removed from ANY phone contact. Get a hold of me by mail. I'm going to leave a message on this ma****e thing requesting to be removed from their courtesy call list as my number is already on the Do-Not-Call list and they are supposed to cross-reference BEFORE they spam people. If it doesn't stop, I'll just cancel the paper. ***** it.

Keep getting a call from this number.  If it is the St. Louis Dispatch why call me, I live in Florida!

9 march 2010Called to inquire if I was satisfied with my newspaper subscription. I recently s****ed to subscribe to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. Just asked if I was receiving my paper and if I was satisfied with it. Also asked for my E-Mail address.

Thanks Bruce H!!! I just s****ed subscribing to my local paper a couple days ago and now this makes sense. Unfortunately with Caller ID, many of us will NEVER pick up the phone to answer because of the area code/state appears to be 'telemarker'.

This number belongs to a call center that is contracted by various newspapers around the country.We call as a quality control function to make sure new subscribers are receiving the paper, and also we call when it is time for renewal to give the customer a reminder and also to give them the various payment options.We are not permitted to leave messages on an answering ma****e unless the customer record states that we have permission to do so.

have been calling several times aday.  Leaves no messages.  If this is a paper in St. Louis,  I am in Texas so leave me alone!!!

I have  received numbers from 603-244-3973 and 205-409-3236 when I called them back I heard the same message on both numbers of a woman saying that she's checking up on my newspaper service.so all in all its a telemarketer trying to sell you the local newspaper I don't know how or from where but that's what it is.So just ignore it and go about your day.

NO message - suspect it is the same caller from the last week and based on what I read here it might be my newspaper calling.  Either the Star Tribune or the St. Paul Pioneer Press.  Not sure because they do not leave a message.Number on ID: 707.222.8149, 978.416.9502 205.409.3236 and today it was a new number - 603.244.3973.

I received a call from this number... and  702-520-1185, 205-409-3236... I live in oregon and they did not leave a message.... annoying!!

Called today didn't answer, no message on a/m. Also received call several days ago from 205-409-3236. Didn't answer that one either.

****s up and leaves no message after a-ma****e picks up. I screen all calls, because even being on the do not call list, these tele-market scammers still call. even if it is a local scammer tele-marketer. so if no message is left I****ume it is a scammer and ignor it.

This is the 6th number I have now received these annoying calls from.  When answered, there is no one there, simply an electronic click sound.  This all s****ed for me while I have been actively pursuing employment and completing online job applications. This is really annoying.

They called me twice and I live in Brooklyn, New York,  guess I would love there paper if I ever say it.... Maybe I can talk them into delivering it when they call back..

I called this number back and actually did leave a message informing them that we are happy with our paper and would appreciate our number to be left off the call list. Hopefully that will work

I called this number back and it was the St. Louis Post Dispatch Mailbox.  The recording asked me if I was happy with my paper and then it said their mailbox was too full for messages.
