This company called me at work and even harassed the receptionist to get through to my number!

Direct Capital is who the number (603) 501-1000 belongs to.  They will not stop harrassing me

They are a legit company. www.directcapital.com in Portsmouth. They are a multi million dollar leasing company.

This is Direct Capital in Portsmouth NH, a business to business leasing company. Thier number is 1-800-999-9942. Ask for marketing and asked to be removed from the call list, politely :) simple enough.

Didn't recognize the number, so I hit "Ignore".  Listened to voice mail that said, "This is Matt.  Call me back about equipment financing," and left the number that showed up on Caller ID as a callback.I****umed this was regarding a small business equipment loan that I had searched for online.

Same thing as the others called my parents house asking for me, wanted my cell number to get in contact with me about "business equipment" I was buying. Didnt get it and ***g up.

They left a message on my ma****e (Adam at 603 373 1381) to call about my "equipment"

Same thing.  Tried to call back but get message saying not available - asking to leave voice mail message.  Didn't of course.  Obviously a scam.

they call once or twice aday, saying this is direct capital wanting to investin our company. We have no company.

Same scam as Carolyn reports. The correct response to these clowns is to threaten them with Trademark infringement for unauthorized use of the your company's name in an unauthorized listing. Keep them on the phone as long as you can, as it wastes their time & costs them money. And report them to the Do Not Call registry.

Got the same call...For the first few days just saw missed calls on my home phone. Today they left a message saying to call back at 603-373-1381 and said that this was about equipment financing. So****ing about the tone and the content of message made me think that this was a fake call. So I googled them and I came across this site :)

They are calling me twice a week too. I just reported the number to the Do Not Call Registry, since my number is on that. www.donotcall.govThe company is Direct Capital, and it's either guerilla marketing or a scam. Either way, it's unscrupulous.

Call from man ask "is Gary in"?, I gave my business name and ask how we could help caller ****s up

A guy by the name of Matt called and wanted to talk to me when he was told am I unavailable, he said that he will call back.  The second time he called (next day) he was asked who he is and where he is calling from and what this is in regards to, to which this Matt guy responded that he is with Direct Capital calling regarding the status of our business financing. Then we knew he is a fake and asked him to never call back.  There is another phone number from them and that is 603-766-9379.

Called 2 days in a row. 1st time, no message. 2nd time, Howard left a message asking for my husband but left no details.

A guy called in to my business and introduced himself as George ***e.  When he was told that I was in a meeting, he quickly said he would call back later and ***g up.

Lady has called daily over the last couple of weeks.  Claims that we authorized a business to business internet listing with them.  She wants to cxl the listing per our request, but expects our company to pay $495 for the service in '07.  When I asked for a copy of a signed proof/contract or to listen to the phone recording during the original authorization, I was informed that they do not do this since the total invoice is less than $500.  (the invoice is $495.)  She claims that they do not have to retain any written or verbal auth for services under $500.We are also on the do not call list.

Get a call from this number all the time. No message. No answer. I just file with the national do not call registry. I'm tired of companies ignoring the do not call list.

A lady called my wife and asked for me.  When she said I wasn't available, she wouldn't leave a message.  When my wife asked what it was in regards to, she said "an order for his business."  She told the lady that I didn't have one and she was quick to get off the phone.
