It said the call was from "871" and identified the name of the financial ins***ution I actually use(this apparently was by random chance).  The message said that my card had been suspended and that I needed to call the Security Department to get it reactivated.  It then gave the following long-distance number: 604/357-3033.  When I looked up the area code, I found that it is in  Vancouver, BC.  I knew then that this was a scam because I am in the SE United States.  When I spoke to my bank this morning, they explained they have received a number of calls in the past week about this, many of which are not customers of their bank, but all of which are US Cellular customers so apparently someone has breached or purchased a list of their numbers.  Just wanted to make you aware of this latest "version" of an old scam.
