This supposedly is their call centre and used to come up as "Big Brothers" on the call display.  Now it comes up as Brit. Columbia, guess more people actually pick up now?  Never have made a donation as our stuff goes to the SPCA store and getting pretty tired of them calling.

Yeah we have asked ,told what have you to take our number off their phone lists . Well 3 -4 yrs later we are still getting these phone calls. Do yourself a favor and buy a phone that has  a call block feature on it . Works great for us.

I can't believe some of you. Big brothers renew crew calls me all the time looking for donations, it's always an automated message. The messages that I get left always have a bit a a delay in them from the time that the phone answers till the time that the message s****s. Have you people ever thought that this is a volunteer organization with limited funds so maybe that is why they don't have the latest and greatest telemarketing equipment. Maybe Big Brothers likes to spend their money on the kids and not telemarketers! Besides they are only looking for your used and unwanted clothing and household items. Have a heart people, many of these children have to go without.  Growing up on of my very good friends was a little brother, and when he got to old he helped out anyway he could. I try to give whenever I can, to help support the kids.

It is a***nst the law for a telemarketer or the like to call and not have a live person begin speaking within 2 seconds of you answering. S**** making complaints to the CRTC people!

Got a call from 604-526-2447 and w***ver was calling would not or could not talk. I do not care who it was that was calling but if you do not follow through your calls then do not call. If this call was from Big Brothers then do not call my number a***n as from now on do not wish to listen or talk to you.

I asked to be removed from their calling list and still they call months later! ******s.

bigbrothers just called at right time when I have some used clothing on hand, and no way to stroe up.

They've called me four times in the last two days.... i'm just not picking up their calls anymore; i'll be e-mail them so that i can be removed otherwise i will look else where to give my donations.

I e-mailed the Operations Manager and asked that my name and number be removed from their database.We'll see if this works.

I donate to "Big Brothers too". They called, I picked up, no one was there. If the use manual staffing they should at least talk. It is a worthy cause, they should staff competent people!  How can I help if they don't communicate?

exact same cir***stance... i pick up the phone,i know someone is there... and then i hear them **** up...

I have given to Big Brother previous but will give no longer because no one answers the phone when you lift up the receiver. A person would think thank anyone in their position looking for donations would bend over backwards to please, alas I have had to put a block on this number. Shame on you Big Brothers for annoying donators.

A lot of charities like BB have VOLunteers who call from their own personal home phones. They blocks their own number when doing the outbound calls.

I got a call from them last night, 6:32pm 11 Oct 08.  I picked up and no answer.  It sounded like someone was on the line not the usual computerized telemarketer disconnect.  I ***g up and no call back.We give to Big Brothers so it must have been a mistake on their part.   Strange thing is I "reverse phone" Ca***a 411`d it.... and there is no listing.  You would think a charitable organization like that would have 1) listed as Big Bro on the call display and 2) listed on Ca***a 411.

I got a call from this phone number.  No answer when I picked up.  I don't think that they use auto dialers.  I would think that they use volunteers to take home call lists.

Big brother's keep calling me and it is really annoying. I have told them to stop calling numerous times and they still continue.
