calls and as soon as you answer they **** up.When you call them, it rings 8 times, a womans voice says you are being directed to a mailbox(which is full) of course and you can't get them off the do-not-call list.
YA THEY BEEN CALLIN MY PLACE. I THINK THEY GOT MY WIFE ON SOME MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION THING! BAD THING IS SHE GAVE THEM HER CREDIT CARD NUMBER. I FIGURED IT WAS A SCAM. NEVER GOT MAGAZINES IN THREE MONTHS. GONNA CHECK CC INFO AND SEE IF NEW CHARGES
Thanks, Merna. With a good description, the rest of us can know what it is - a telemarketing scam . I don't know why people put in "they called but I didn't answer". It doesn't tell us anything.
I got a call from a guy saying he had rec'd an application for a loan made to his company from me a week ago and that I had been approved for $15,000. He told me that the funds were available today. He told me that I needed to select 1 of 3 options to secure the loan. One of which is a company they use which is a cost to the borrower of $500. I called the number that showed on my call display after he called and there was a message saying Premium Reader's. Huh? The caller had identified himself as a broker for Primary Lending Group.
I got the magazines from them - it is a special promotion that areas with low circulation can parti****te in. 5 free magazines. I love them!
Called then no response other than an automated voice saying "Goodbye".
Maclean's magazine trying to sell it and 5 other magazines for $20 approx/month. Extremely pushy....doesn't understand that "no" means NO!
