Vangent is a company that contracts with the federal government for the 1-800-Medicare phone lines. Vangent was previously known as Pearson Government Solutions. They have call centers located in Chester, VA; C****ville, IA; Corbin, KY; Lawrence, KS; and P***nix, AZ.

I went to Vangent's web site. It looks great, HOWEVER, I have my doubts when they say they are working for the US Government.  Bells went off when they called my house at 8:43 AM when they should not be calling until 9 AM.  On another site like this, people say they are calling about Medicare and wanting information. They say they are answering correspondence for Medicare. I have had no correspondence with Medicare this year so why would they be calling me?  I am wondering if Medicare's information has been breached? I for one will not answer the phone when they call.

Received a call from 606-258-3400 today May 30, 2008 at 8:43AM from Vangent Inc. Have no idea who they are. Did not think they were supposed to call before 9AM. Have never done business with any company by that name. Must not be important as they left no message. Information showed up on called ID.
