Received a call from this # on my new pre-paid US Cellular phone, activated less than 5 days ago. Is US Cellular selling the # to marketing scams, or getting hacked?

Called back the phone number to see who was trying to call me. Got a recording stating I recently visited their website and am eligible for a reward card of some sort. Don't remember doing that. I did recently enter my phone number on the internet to receive information about life insurance. Should have known better. I've been receiving 5 or more soliciting phone calls every day since. It did give me the option to press 2 to take my number of their call list. So let's hope that works.
