Leave a CommentI got the same calls. I went to a bridal show and am****uming thats where they got my number. The company was Royal Prestige and they said that I won a 3 day, 2 night stay and two wedding bands. They said we only had to go and sit through a presentation of their cookware.I was with all of you guys thinking it was a complete scam. And I was totally skeptical about the whole thing..So me and my fiancée went to check it out. It's surprisingly not a scam. We sat through the presentation and at the end the guy said if we weren't interested in buying anything that we get our gifts and leave. Which we ended up doing. We actually got both gifts that we were told we were going to get. Though you do have to pay for your airfare for the vacation and also $50 refundable deposit, so it's not really free but we were just happy we got the vacation and it wasn't a scam. We also got a gift certificate for the two free wedding bands. We were skeptical about it, so we ordered them since it was only $25 per ring for shipping. We actually got the rings and love them. So, it's surprisingly not a scam.Just thought I would tell you guys my experience since I was as skeptical as you guys.Hope it helps.
Just finished reading everyones posts - I WAS AT DAVIDS BRIDAL THIS PAST WEEKEND!! So looks like it isn't anything to do with the knot...
Thank you to you all for posting!! I entered for two sweepstakes for photography packages through The Knot and thought that maybe I actually won. The message said exactaly what the others posted except the called themselves "RP Bridal Rewards" and left me a reference # as well. The # seemed weird and not a local area code in MA, so I googled it and found out the real deal! Not sure how they got my info though and it makes me upset if it was from The Knot.
tell you what - if David's is selling our info - I think I'm going to have to tell them to cease and desist. I dont' appreciate getting garbage messages. Got the message, called back and they gave me the cruise/bands/coupon spiel. But - they're not in michigan now so they'll call back when they are in the area. think i'll be busy that night.
I'm only registered with David's bridal this is bull! Glad I found this site though, definitely not calling them back
well well well i live in a bo dunk town of wisconsin and recieved this call, being excited i decided to google the company hoping it isnt be a bill collector and to my suprise i found this website i was not happy... also the only registry i signed up for is davids bridal as well thanks to all the ladies who posted this is was very helpful and im glad i didnt fall for it!!!
I got the same call from that same number and I live in Minnesota right now. 608-866-1186. They told me to call them back after I talked to my fiance about meeting them adn they gave me this number 1800-676-4739. I didn't bother calling it, I dont' want to encourage this scam.
I just got a call from this number today too with the same exact ***le. They told me they were from the Rewards center of Midwest Lifestyles....and that they were meeting at a local hotel for me to come go over the package. The package included a 2 night stay at a resort in the Ba*****, Mexico, or some other place, 2 complimentary wedding bands (we alraedy have ours bought so this was of no use) and 2 knives and some sort of coupon card. The dates they gave me to meet didn't work, so I kept telling her I wasn't available at all and she gave me a number to call back, but she didn't give me a reference number. We'll see if they call back. I figured it was a scam, but wasn't sure since they didn't ask for any kind of payment or anything today. They did say that we would also get a free demonstration of this cookware stuff, but I didn't think much of that. My fiance googled these people and the number and figured out that it was a cookware scam. That really ticks me off that they're preying on people who are getting married and all excited about it. I do see that a lot of people who are getting these calls are somehow linked to David's Bridal, which makes me angry....I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses from there, so they had better not be giving my information to these people voluntarily!
I've received two calls from this number...one right after I registered with David's Bridal online and after attending a bridal expo in my hometown. It kind of makes you wonder why local people would not call you to let you know you have won so****ing...but instead several ***dred miles away? Disappointing, really.
i have gotten this call a few times... both on my cell and on my home answering ma****e. i live in MA
this number i think calls only ones in Kansas... i got the same call... dont waste your time calling back or anything!! i also found out after this distressing news that i had a miss carriage earlier today... im only 18...

I live in Kansas and got a call from 608-663-1186 this afternoon. I googled the phone number and then found this site. Don't think I'll be calling "Melissa" back! I'm not even engaged. Thanks for the info.

How can we trust Midwest Lifestyles LaCrosse WI if they are on a list of phone pests and scammers?

Just got the same call. I was told to call an 800 number and given a reference number, I googled and found this info, so I won't waste the time calling back. Thanks.
I just got the same message! Thanks to all of you who posted. I thought about calling back, but saw it was a Wisconsin number and I live in Kansas....Seemed a little fishy. Thanks!
yeah i got a call from this number today right after i talked to someone at Men's Wearhouse! and i just got my wedding dress from David's Bridal last week, dont answer it is def. a scam...
I got a phone call the day after I attended a bridal show from this number. The voicemail went so****ing like this, "Hi this is Christy with RP Michigan. I am calling to let you know that you have won a bridal package. We have your package on hold, but can only hold on to it for a limited time, so be sure to call me back as soon as you get this message. A***n, congratulations." She gave me this phone number and reference number. I almost fell for a scam like this a few weeks ago from a similar sounding voicemail, so I decided to google "RP Michigan." This site came up, but most girls got a call from a different phone number. However, the voicemails they got were exactly the same. Don't fall for it, ladies!
yeah i got a call to saying same thing thanks for leting all no it,s a scam
Is definitely a scam. It's a Wisonsin # for "Royal Prestige." There's a whole article on consumeraffairs.com on how they talk you into a meeting to pick up a "bridal package" and pressure you into buying no-quality cookware. (You leave out ***dreds of dollars with a bogus "gift" package.)
I think it is a bridal service of some sort. Did you recently get engaged or register at David's Bridal or Men's Wearhouse? I did and got a call from this same number.
I received a call from this number. I didn't answer.
