Leave a CommentNo voicemail left. Rang 2 times and then ***g up. I tried calling back from a number that blocks caller id. Rang with no answer.
This is a Unitedhealthcare scammer number - trying to get you to give personal info out- like birthdates etc. They told me I had someprior authorizations on a medication, of which I had no such thing recently, which means these scammers know your background & what to say. This is an absolute scammer number looking to call people and get them to give their personal information over the phone !! They come up with we can’t tell you this or that because of hippa laws etc. unless you tell us this or that, yet they called you!, & so they should know everything and you should NEVER have to give one iota of info over the phone at all. These are scammers and you should never speak to them! Period!
This is a legit call. They did leave a message regarding my coordination of benefits!!
Yet another person here who works for UHC/Ingenix. This is the number that shows up when we call you to coordinate your benefits. Not a scam. If you get a call from this number please call back the number provided to you left in a voice message, or just call 866-793-9371. By calling that number you will confirm that you are on the phone with UHC (NOT A SCAM) and can reach a coordination of benefits represen***ive so that we can process your information in our systems to make sure that your claims are being put through correctly. Most likely we were calling to see if you are covered by any other health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. If you want to believe its a scam, go ahead. But when your claims s**** getting denied because your records aren't updated properly (which is what we are calling you FROM THIS NUMBER to try to prevent for you), then don't blame us please. I understand being leary of every number you don't know, I am a frequent visitor to this site myself. But when it comes down to your health care and you have been provided several times in this thread with ways to prove to yourself that this is NOT a scam, please do and don't mess around.
I got a call from this number and they are actually reps of UHC and not scammers. I have UHC through my employer and had to speak with a rep in the Coordination of Benefits Dept. who called from this no.
It was my mom, calling me from her work at UHC... so yeah.
I work for UHC. Can one of my colleagues explain why I receive a call from 612 234 9000 and the person calling ****s up after I pick up the phone after two rings?
someone called saying they are from UHC [612-234-9000] and asked for my D.O.B and I was very busy with another call and I gave them that info. They told me that I had a claim and it was refused and the claim was a day old. After they ***g up called UHC and told them about it and they said their system do not have my number and when they refuse a claim they send a letter not call and if the claim was 1 day old that will be impossible for UHC to call in a short period of time.I called that number for 2 days and it was busy. I called UHC and theyare not able to help or direct me to someone who can
Some of you people are *****s. This is a United Health Care number. They just called me to tell me my surgical procedure scheduled for next week was approved. There was no scam. They just provided me info I was waiting to hear.
I have tried to call the number 6l2-234-9000 and all I get is a busy signal...I think this is nothing more than a scam!!! Any legit company would not resort to using fake phone numbers!!!
WEll... if you are legit then may I suggest that all your numbers be registered so that it can be verified!!!
912-234-9000 is a real uhc number. Obviously if you call the number on the back of your card they will now know 612-234-9000 since they do not work in coordination of benefits. UHC has over 100 different telephone numbers for different segments of UHC. UHC is the umbrella of many other different insurance companies such as aarp optum health evercare ect. We are not fraud we are just trying to ensure that we are coordinating your benefits properly meaning we can determine if their is other insurance and determine which is primary and secondary so YOUR claims are being processed correctly! If you don't believe us you can ask us questions we will most likely know your social security number (atleast the policy holders ssn) address, the people on your policy, who the policy is through, and know information about your claims. If that is not enough to prove we are legit then you must be a paranoid person! The world is not out to get you dont worry!!! We cannot show UHC on the caller id to protect your personal health information incase we call the wrong number on accident and leave a voice mail and we say your name in it. We also cannot show our real number 866-793-9371 incase we do call the wrong number and they call back and find out who your insurance is through and since we said this msg is for mr joe smith and they call back and say they are mr joe smith and we disclose PHI to them! So we use 612-234-9000 which is where our headquarters are in MN. and if you call back it does not work. IT is all TO PROTECT YOUR PHI!
per HIPPA the name United Healthcare cannot appear on the person's caller ID no if I get a personal answering ma****e can I leave the name United Healthcare. As for asking for PHI considering the turnover in customer service, I had the same issue working for anthem bc/bs a cs rep who didnt know they had a disease management department. There IS a COORDINATION of BENEFITS department for UHC. The number left on the voicemail/answering ma****e is UHC. I work for them. The number that appears on a caller ID is from the server we use that is in minnesota
THIS IS A CALLER ID # THAT SHOWS UP FROM UHC. IT IS LEGIT... NOT FRAUD.. NOT A SCAM.. I WORK FOR THEM AND I CALLED MY CELL FROM MY WORK # AND THAT "IS" THE # THAT SHOWS UP....
no message- just music
Asking if I was elegible for Medicare benefits
Checked with UHC this is not one of their phone numbers. It is a fraud.
My husband received a call on 1/14/2009 from 612-234-9000. The caller said he was calling regarding "my" policy with UHC. This seemed to be "legit", since I recently c****ed jobs & am now covered by UHC. The caller wanted to know if my husband was covered by any other insurance company? My husband answered "No". He then asked if he had Medicare coverage. My husband answered "only Part A". The caller then asked him his Medicare number & my husband "regrettably & admittingly without thinking" provided this PHI. I did check with UHC the next day & they state "this is not their policy to request PHI over the phone". This has necessitated in our taking the needed precautions & notifying financial ins***utions, etc that our iden***y may now have been compromised!!!
Never left a message, and when I tried to call it, all I got was a busy signal.
I work for clinics and UHC calls from this # wanting to get us to reduce our bill when we are out of network. THey usually want a fax # so they can send us the reduction request and then they will keep faxing one for every single bill and will not take your fax # off the list. My advice: dont give them your fax # if you never intend to accept a reduction.
This is actually a united healthcare number.
Caller from 6122349000 never left a message.
Got a call from someone named Mike claiming to be a United Healthcare Representative asking if anyone else on my plan is covered under any other insurance plans. I said No, he said, that is all I need to know and ***g up. I didn't think anything of it because his phone voice seemed professional however the quick question and quick **** up was su****ious. "Mike" called my job as well.
United Healthcare scamer...
