I saw this number on the caller id, with the name "MN FOP". Although I do support charities and such, I don't give anything to anyone who calls. I'm glad I was out when they called.

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Minnesota State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.mnfop.com, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Minnesota police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

These idiots have called six times in the past two weeks.  Today I ended up swearing at the s***bag on the other end of the line.  It's a scam.  Can't they be stopped???

We have been receiving calls from this number regularly.  I look at the caller ID and do NOT answer but have been wondering what this is about.

"Mr" mom seems to be a trend here, where they don't want to talk to the men.When I politely answered they disconnected.

Received call from 612-808-5568 at 10:50, 7-23-2010.  Did not answer (caller ID).  I did answer previously and told them to remove my number from their calling list and to never call me a***n!

This number called twice today. Each time "Mr" mom answered they disconnected their call. Ya think?

These guys are ****s, I've actually had them call and you could tell the guy was sitting in a bar.  They are a total scam.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.  The poster that said they they give less than 5% to charity is correct.

Three weeks ago I spoke with someone soliciting from the MN FOP.  I told them that they were breaking the law as the number they just called has been on the National Do Not Call list for some time.  I do not give donations to anyone that calls on the phone!!  I suggested that if he called back I would report him to authorities for breaking the law!  He told me that I would not receive any more calls.Today he called bac****What do I do next when caller ID shows 612-808-5568?  How do I know that this is accurate listing and is actually the listed phone number!CGJ    7/16/2010

Received call on 2010/07/16 from 612-808-5568; Caller-ID listed "FOP."  When I answered, a male voice asked for my wife by name. When I inquired as to who might be calling, he then just ***g up.I called the number back and used their automated phone tree have my number placed on their "do not call list."This sort of rude behavior is not one I would imagine helps FOP's image.

I find that hard to believe that this company called you and said your daughter was in trouble. They have a script that they do read off.

Rings but no one there, many calls

I have received five calls in the last week from this number, the caller ID says MN FOP.  I don't answer it, they don't leave a message

This number just called my house saying they were Golden Valley police Department and that my daughter was in trouble. I don't have a daughter I'm 22 years old but i had called all my sisters and they weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. The caller ID on my phone said MN FOP ??

Called today. I didn't answer and still won't answer. From reading the other entries, I'm glad I didn't.

Electronic calling system asked if I was here and then proceeded to state "Yup" :"OK"  I didn't respond - just ***g up.

asked for my husband-when I said he wasn't here it was just silent-not even a thank you or any other polite way to end a call

Looked up this "charity" on the Secretary of State of Washington State's Website.http://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search.aspx Could not find any name similar to Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police.Called my State's Attorney General's Office, Charity Division, they have not heard of this charity, or anything similar to it.If you could post more details, it will help with future searches.

Well, they actually do make a lot of "cold calls" they hire private companies to do the calling, was a big deal on the local news here a couple years ago exposing the big scam, what money they do recieve is used to lobby a***nst the taxpayers.

Your call was just a scam, I would not give them any money, the clown got a little testy with me when he called today, got him in a corner right away when I asked him why his company kept 90% of the cash they collected, after all if it really was a good group to give money to you would expect them to get a little more money, I would ask them not to call you back and **** up on them next time.   They really have nothing at all to do with "law enforcement" it's just a private group that takes the money they scam from people and lobby the government with it, oh and throw really big parties..

This company claimed to be the MN FOP (***ernal order of police), They asked for and spoke to my wife.  What they did not realize was I am a Law Enforcment Officer and I belong to the FOP already.  They didnt want to talk to me, just my wife - they were asking for $25 and $50 donations.  The FOP does not do "Cold Calls" for donations, they typically hold some sort of charitable event.

The caller did not leave any message.
