This is from Capella University
I think they're trying to get me to sign up and take cl***** from there... I haven't checked my voice mail yet. Glad you all are hear to let me know about this. Thanks!
So I applied for a job online and when I was contacted, the operator asked if I would be interested in continuing my education. I said yes and that I already had a school picked and enrolled. Next I get calls from the three schools the operator had mentioned. I've told two of them so far to take my number off of their lists, and so far so good...The third school is in MN so I missed their time zone, but they will also receive a call tomorrow to remove me so we'll see...
they call me everyday from this area code
This number called me about six times a day I would really like it to stop I don't no who is or anything.
I get these calls and I believe I have told them not to call me. How do I report it to the police? It's a bit annoying.
I just received ANOTHER call from (612) 977-5000..im fed up what can we legally do even after letting them know to put us on the DO NOT CALL list
Has called many times today and in the past. I wish they would please stop, I am on a no-call list that they should check. I have 3 children that are living away from me and that I worry about. Thanks, Angela
Some university search engine got a hold of me. They got the Capella University calling me even though I do not want them to call me. This is scam outfit. I wish they would stop calling.
Capella University continues to call my cell phone after I repeatedly told them the person they are trying to reach has nothing to do with me.
NAGGING calls at all hours. It is an on line graduate program you buy from the school, They wont believe I am not interested. I have two masters and two PhD's I earned. Why would I want to buy a fake degree from these folks?
This number is from Capella University.
I have received many calls from this number over the last several days. Both male and female reps. have called and each said they would remove my number. I am 80+ years old and not the least bit interested in attending school on-line !!!

My work phone received a call from these guys at 10:43 last night. Why would you call at 10:43 at night? They did not leave a message.
Calls from a collage they try to hook The military guys to take courses. Not to good a way to bug our military men and women after a trip to A war zone
They call from this number which turned out to be Capella University, and hound my husband to take courses with their college. He already has a PHD so what does he need with this cheesey college. He got his PHD from a legit college. These people won't take NO for an answer.
I have been getting calls from various long distance numbers all of which seem to be online colleges. Some of them left voice mails for a Lucretia who I am not. I have also had my cell # for at least 4-5 years. And I have never left it for any colleges to call. I have called a couple to report it Kaplan seems to have stopped with direct contact. P***nix and Capella seem to continue even after adding to do not call registry. What kind of scam is this.....numbers on id still coming.602-713-0785612-977-5000etcNever received calls like this before s****ed yes****ay afternoon and is happening constantly.
call from different numbers never leave message
I requested information from Capella and after weighing my options and deciding this school wasn't for me, a representative from Capella has called three times a day for the past week asking why and telling me to reconsider, that choosing another school would be a big mistake. I have asked them repeatedly not to call anymore, and someone else calls the next time claiming they did not know I don't want them calling. If I don't answer, they **** up on the voicemail instead of leaving a message. If you're thinking of this school, FORGET IT. I decided a***nst them when I learned of their "hidden" costs and spamming practices.
Called April 6th 2:36pm.
Called April 1, 2009 at 1:49pm. Did not leave message.

Here are some links for you:http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4176/is_20071019/ai_n2106***1http://www.slate.com/id/2130516/Did you know that the APA just published an article about for-profit school and mentioned Capella University? Here's the link:http://www.apa.org/monitor/2008/12/higher-ed.htmlThe American ******logical****ociation just said that,"For-profit universities with doct**** ******logy programs include Argosy University, Capella University and Walden University. Critics claim that the drive to make profits for stockholders encourages such ins***utions to churn out as many graduates as possible."

Been getting these annoying calls lately. I'm done with school and have absolutely no plans to go back. Besides, they're not even calling for me, they're asking for someone else. They finally left a voicemail message and here's the number they said to call back at:

This is a # for Capella University inquiring if you want to attend their school or online cl*****. Unless you tell them to stop calling they actually have written in their disclaimer that they will call you for 6 months, which i guess is legal, after that your # is supposed to be removed automatically.
Not cool... Ive asked them several times to take me off their list and stop calling my cell phone.
Getting endless calls from Capella University sales clerks? Take a look at this article published by News Week/Washington post about their sales tactics http://www.slate.com/id/2130516/When Capella sales people s**** bothering you at dinner, it's time to turn on call blocking.
They called my home and cell 6 times in 3 minutes today. When I answer they **** up, so I just called and told them to stop. The calls are from Capella Education - an online university. eing interested in Business and Communications, they are certainly not the example I want to learn from!
I found out that it is Capella University. The only online school that is CACREP accredited (www.cacrep.org) and one a handful of schools that have been designated as a Center of Academic Excellence by the US Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency.
You can't file a police report until you have told them not to call or you will file a police report. Otherwise, it's nothing. If they call a***n, then it's telephone harassment.
No one there when I answer - like a computer is dialing.
Online University I already went to school! How on earth do these people grab our numbers?
stop calling
They call and when we pick it up they cut the call(i just saw the history in my blackberry and see 27 dropped calls and 11 missed calls), it has happened almost every day for almost a month for me and is there a way to file a police report?

Calls from this number keep coming every now and then (almost once every day)... cant help...
I think it's either Capella or Walden. They call me three times a day and I'm on the no soliciting list!!!
Multiple calls a day from Capella University and no voicemail left. I finally called number back and had to go thru a prompted menu and finally press number for a degree. Finally actually spoke with a person and told them to remove my number from their calling list that I was on the Do Not Call Registry and then nicely informed them that I was recording the call and the next time they call I will file a complaint.
They have called me once every day for the past 3 days. Total stalkers is right! If I was thinking about attending their school, I'm certainly not anymore!
