Leave a CommentThis is the number of the Ottawa area Rogers Cellular switch. It is wrong Caller ID info. The wrong caller id you're getting would be the mobile telephone switches' aliased phone number being passed instead of the caller id, often called "pseudo ANI" (Automatic Number Identification). Cell phones calling toll free numbers, or toll free numbers calling cell phones, or other toll free numbers will get pseudo ANI. This is always the case with mobile and toll free numbers, and it has been this way since the inception of Caller ID in the mid-1990's. There is no way around this as it's set at the mobile carrier's or the toll free's origination/terminating end. The reasoning behind this is unclear, but we would****ume it would have so****ing to do with an grand***hered policy of maintaining cell phone # privacy.
This # called me and no one on the other end, just silence.
I keep on getting calls from this number. When I try to return a call, I keep getting the same recording. The number you are trying to reach is no longer in service.
I see this # however I call and it is out of service....
This seems to be a logal dial-out hub number for a long distance carrier (Sprint or AT&T?). I got calls from that number coming from ***nch offices within my company located in the USA. The calls I got were legit so, this isn't necessarily a scam.
Called Twice between 9-10am ET Dec 2, 2008.First call: No voicemail left.Second call: I answered it, but got dead-air on the other end.
I have a new cell phone and didn't give my phone number to anyone yet but I got this call yes****ay at 12.05 am. No idea who it is.
I tried to call it back, and the phone co. said, no such number!
