Automated call that doesn't answer when you pick up.

Mr. SmithYour reply was from Feb 2008....why is this still happening. I've requested by email and phone msgs to have my number removed from your calling list but still they call. WHY. This is a bad way of running your business. Trust me when I have clothes to donate I would probably give it to a company that doesn't ***ve me off after several attempts to have it stopped. You may want to reconsider your work ethics.

I want them to stop calling

I have received many calls from this number and would like to be removed from your list but every time i try to call to tell u guys this all i get is a **** busy signal. how can i get a hold of someone two tell them to remove me from the list

Guys, you have to dial this number 1800-505-5525 and they will remove you from their list, they were nice about it. It was indeed Ca***ian Diabetic****ociation. I called them and they removed me.Yeah it was annoying and there was a silence when they called, hopefully they won't bother me a***n.

Unfortunately, being a charitable organization, the CDA is not subject to the solicitation law and do not have to abide by them.However, their repeated calls are bugging the heck out of me, especially since it's been happening for such a long time, to me and everyone else.  I'm contacting them tomorrow to have me removed from their calling list.

Please STOP calling!!!  Although I have donated to CDA in the past this is not the way to maintain my business!!  I will re-direct my charitable clothes etc to someone else now as I am so frustrated with all these dead calls!

I've had the same problem with this number calling me repeatedly, over & over a***n, and never leaving a message.  The reason there's ***ody on the line when you pick up is because they're using an automated dialing ma****e.  It dials 9-10 numbers all at once and the first person who picks up gets connected to a live person.  The other 8 or 9 people who picked up a little later only get dead air on the line.  If they didn't reach you the firs time, they'll just keep calling & calling & calling until you actually are the first person to pick up your phone.It's annoying and disturbs my peace & quiet a great deal, not to mention that it interrupts my work, as I work from home.  I've asked them repeatedly NOT to call here anymore, as I donate my used clothing somewhere else, but they STILL won't stop.  So don't be fooled, if you request to be taken off the list, all that does is confirm to them that your line is active, so they'll just keep calling you.Maybe the solution is to tell them that yes, you do have clothing to donate and then when they come to the door, don't answer it.  Maybe if they make a trip out to your place for nothing, that's the only way they'll learn their lesson.I will NEVER, NEVER donate anything to the Diabetes****ociation because of this annoying practice of theirs, and I've been telling all of my friends to do the same.

I just received another call from 613 688 4851. No one responded whenI answered, and within fifteen seconds, they ***g up.I an listed on the do not call list, and I have reported this number threetimes before, and in no vain.  What a louzy way to do business.

I agree with Jacques, we should not have to call the office to have our number removed. I, for one, had added my phone number 6 months ago to the "Do Not Call List", just so that I wouldn't receive these kinds of calls.

Kevin, With all due respect, you automated dialer system is broken and needs to be fixed. I for one, do not mind the occasional call from CDA soliciting donations. But twice in two days and****entially more, and no answer, no message, no nothing is just annoying. It looks as if this has been going on for some time. The onus should not be on the recipient to remove ourselves from your broken dialing system!Jacques

Twice a week or so, I get a call from this number.  There is never a message or response when I answer.  Is it possible to identify the originator of these calls?

I used to donate to CDA but then they stopped calling me and now all I get are phone calls from this automated service and no one says a ***p! Annoying. I preferred talking to them in person!

For the past couple of weeks, I have been getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. I don't think telephone soliciation is a good way for a charity like the Ca***ian Diabetes****ociation to do business. Telephoning using automated dialers are intrusive, bothersome and do not make me sympathetic to ANY cause. Perhaps trying another ****od to get donations rather than using a telephone to interupt people would be more successful.N.B. Sometimes when I pick up has no message on the line.
