This number called and when I answered, the caller said it was a Mr. Marshall calling for my husband, that they were a charity he supports.  When I said "No thank you" and ***g up they called back immediately.  My husband answered and this guy said he was from a Veterans' group and gave him a hard time and then ***g up on him.

Got a call Sat a.m. (4-24) claiming to be State Troopers and asking for donation. My husband is the one that took the call and he kept telling the person he was busy and it wasn't a good time. The person on the phone was very rude and wouldn't take no. I didn't think too much about it until I saw the # on caller ID and didn't recognize it so I looked here. I just tried to call back and it gave me an answering ma****e that the person did not identify themselves or the "business" on.

Received a call from this number at 8:20 PM and after 3 rings they ***g up.  I called back and got a message from a mail asking me to leave my number.  Unfortunately, I did leave my number.  I hope they don't call back, after reading these complaints.

I ***g up on someone from the number 330-434-0131 and immediately I got a call from 614 number which is out of Columbus. The 330 is out of Akron OH. Same guy I believe. Some sort of charity.

I got the same call around 530pm 4-5-2010. State of Ohio on Caller ID kinda freaked me out - didn't see I had a missed call til Wed 4-7-10. I was thinking so****ing with my taxes or work licensure. I left a message (hand to forehead-- should have checked here first!duuuhh!) live and learn I guess.Didn't even think the census.I'll just make sure I don't answer if they call back.thanks for the info!

received a call last night from STATE OF OHIO....called back and number was disconnected....called back and it was busy....called tonight and a voicemail came up....no id as to who it is

Just got the call at 6:30 on April 6.. Called it back, the recording said the number was out of service. Really Strange. The caller ID said Sate of Ohio.

this number called me last night as well, said they were from some police organization and asked me to donate.  When I asked them how much of my donation the police would get---they ***g up on me.

They called me today, April 5th, at about 8:30 pm EST...it was a **** up call ... called back to see...no answer just a message to leave my name and number...I don't think so.

It is NOT a State of Ohio number. It is the Veterans'****ociation calling for donations. They argue with you when you say that they are not State agency. They ticked me off royally!

They asked for my wife on the home phone and they claimed to be calling on behalf of a veterans charity, then he ***g up.

Came up State of Ohio. Claimed to be Ohio Troopers, wanting support a***nst ***** drivers, teens texting, etc. Told him to mail me the info out. Wanted a pledge now. Told him a***n to mail it to me to look at it, he ***g up without asking for my address...., which he wasn't going to get.

I saw the same number on my caller ID (which also says STATE OF OHIO), so I called it back as well. The first time it rang busy. The second time (after ringing many times) a recording picked up saying no one was available and to leave information. (which I did not) They did not identify the company or org. or what have ya. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.

I got a call last nite from this number, no msg left. Called it at 5:30 this morning, not disconnected but the msg just said they were unavailable to take my call and to leave a msg? I did not. Recording did not identify the company. Caller ID also said State of Ohio. Am guessing maybe the census people???

I also just got the same call and immediately called back, got same recording.wierd.

I have also got a couple of phone calls from 614-280-9535; one they ***g up & the other time I heard talking & then they ***g up.  It comes up as State of Ohio.  Would like to know who this is.

614-280-9535 is showing on Caller ID as State of Ohio. No message is left. When I called back within 10 minutes, after it called, get message that the phone # is disconnected or no longer in service. This is the 3rd time it's called and never left a message.

comes up on phone as state of ohio calling then the number 2809535. When I called the number back a recording stated the number was disconnected. How can a call from the state be disconnected 3 hours later?
