Leave a CommentVA Employer is correct. However, if you ignore them they will go away but each time the account is sold, it is placed on your credit history as a new account. When you go to buy a car or more importantly get a mortgage, it makes it very difficult and time consuming to get these things cleared.
they have NOT purchased a debit that you owe. They have purchased a transcript of past debts that you HAD. They are trying independently to get you to pay those debts - regardless of whether or not you have already met your requirement.IGNORE them. Then write to your congressman, mayor, President attorney general and s**** complaining that more STRINGENT and CONCRETE laws need to be made to put these bozo's out of business for good.A LEGAL debt collector will notify you by mail LONG before they ever try calling. If they do not get a response, they will send a letter TO YOUR HOME ADDRESS notifying you of debt collection and they WILL ALWAYS give you the information needed and tell you that "it is an effort to collect a debt". If they do not get a response from you, they will proceed to court to garnish your wages. this is the legal course of action for debt collectors.ANY OTHER ROUTE THAT IS TAKEN BY A SO-CALLED DEBT COLLECTOR IS I L L E G A L!!!!!!!My best advice a***n...ignore the calls. They will go away eventually.
They are a collection agency that have purchased an account that you owe. They use legal language in an effort to intimidate you into calling them back. In all honesty, unless the debt is $5000 or more, they are not going to invest in pursuing you legally to repay the debt. However, they will attempt to intimidate you by saying things like a civil judgement has been ordered a***nst you. If it were true, they could immediately garnish your wages or put a lein a***nst your bank accounts. They must be able to present a copy of the original loan do***ent or payment agreement with your signature to get a legal judgement. They normally don't have that because they purchased the account from the original business. IGNORE THEM!
Saundra Law not only called my cell phone, but called my home phone, as well as a very old work number. Guess they should have stopped at the home and cell phone. Saundra or whomever's voice is on the message should have done their homework before making the big the mistake of leaving a message disclosing way too much information to someone who is not me. Guess they should check the name of the person who answers the phone at an office before they disclosed any information in their recorded message. The fair debt law states this is illegal, but then the history of this company is such that they could care less of the legali***es. Not only will they not receive a dime for whatever debt they may be collecting on, they are going to end up paying me three times the original amount of the debt. Way to go PRG! Keep up the good work. At this rate, I'll be debt free shortly.
they have literally called me 10 times in a 30 minute time period. This is gettin way out of hand!!!!!!!!!
A Sandra Law called me at work stating that the have made a discion on my file and that I need to contact ot my legal rep to go over this matter.Call an****ociated back@614-586-4357
PMI****ociates left a message for my dad stating that they have filed a lawsuit to king county court a***nst him. I was wondering.. for what I know lawsuit has to be on a formal letter not a phone call. This people does not know what they are doing.. This is the phone number they have used..614-586-4357.. Beware!!!
I just got a call on my cell from this number asking for a friend of mine and stating that she was being sued and using the name Murray Johnson. They said to bring my attorney and good luck in court. They must have thought my phone number was hers. I am not sure how they connected my number to her though. I called this number back and told them to stop calling me as I am not this person. This has got to be a scam because she had never heard of this person either.
they call me at work and asked for a fax number and employment verification. I don't appreciate very much.
I commented earlier and check your records, they first told me I owed for one company, then after making two payments I asked for more information on the debt and they got ****. He told me a totally different company, one I actually recognized and know for a fact that I paid in FULL to a different collection agency. They said it maybe was a second account and thats not even possible. Check out whatever they say to you.
had one call my cell looking for a fmaily member.am not passing the message along.dont know whether it is a legitimate debt or not, but I do know that debts have a statute of limitations of 2 years from the date you last paid on it, so if it is more than 2 years old, they cant collect although unfortunately it will go on your credit report.I also know that they cant take your house. nor garnish wages for things like that, at least not where I live.only 3 things can be garnished. back taxes, back child support, and gov.t student loans.they will use any and all tactics including threats and yelling and name calling, whatever,to get what they want.there are laws a***nst what they can and cannot do; ie: calling you at work, certain times they are allowed(¬)to call you and if you tell them to stop, they must stop;& they are definately not suppose to be threating you, but most people don't know what their rights are concerning these people and that is what they count on.We have rights too and WE NEED TO LEARN WHAT THEY ARE!!!!!! I have thrown some of those rights right back in their faces and, yes,it ****es them off but they now know that I know they cant do what they say they will do. They **** up on me!!!!HAh!!!got ya!FEELS GOOD!!!! DONT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU!!! getting it on tape is good too! you can turn around and go after them, Esp.if they are persistant and keep calling after you have told them to stop!Learn your rights and let them know that you know them.
This company called me stating I owed a pay day loan that I dont even think I took out. Then threaten to charge me but wanted to help sooo much the day they said they were going to file they called me over and up to two weeks after they stated they were filing charges. Then said they wanted to speak with me first before pressing charges and receiving my PR information for a wage garnishment.
Funny that this web page discussing debt collections for pay day loans has 4 ads for pay day loans at the bottom of the page!
How did you know they are looking for payday loans? You must work for them. I have no issue paying my debts. When I simply asked that they send me so****ing by mail, as required by law, they threatened to bring me to jail. They also lie about filing complaints with the courts and told me they would file a suit a***nst me. When I asked where they would be filing they said that they were filing to my address.... They are also not to bright. If they send me so****ing in writing and I legitimately owe so****ing than yes I will pay. However when you call my friends and harass them to get to me.... You will pay. I have already filed 3 complaints a***nst them with the attorney generals office as had my friend. I look forward to the class action suit that will follow and the money tehyw ill have to pay us!
It's shameful that you have to be threatened to pay a debt you know you owe. Payday loans are meant to be paid back on your next pay period. Why do companies like Cashnet, Payday Loans Yes.Com, and Advance America have to hire a collection agency to get the money you knew you owed? People, the bottom line is "PAY YOUR BILLS"!!! You took out a payday loan and closed your checking account before they could recollect their funds. If people don't want their moms, dads, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, etc. contacted, then they should not use them as references when taking out these loans!
I spoke to a john henry he told me and my wife that we wre going to jail that writing a bad check is a***nst the law and we can face up to 5 years in prison that he filing a lawsuit and is going to take our home and my 80 year old mother needs to find somewhere to stay if this man calls you do not believe him i hired an attorney and believe me when i say profile recovery group aka pmr law group aka prg law group is going down i recorded our whole conversation and my wife did also!!!!!!!
i think they are very professional i also think the only people that have negative things to say are those who have a problem handling there buisness in a professional manner because myself i actually take care of my matters and forgot of a old debt and they gave me several options to rectify th ematter in a feesable way...
Got a call, then a text from this #. I don't know who it is.. I wish they'd leave me alone
You are on *****! You probably work for them. They are NOT legit and DEFINITELY not professional.
they are not a scam but very professional and have ligite civil complaints tht have been processed
These are debt collectors using illegal tactics by calling family members for old debts. I kindly told them that I'm estranged from that family member and I didn't know how to help them. They'll leave you alone after that. Or until they sell the debt to someone else.
