This call was from my insurance company. I told them I do not want any unsolicited phone calls. They can email me.
It's Medco's specialty pharmacy service, also called Accredo. I demanded, several times, that they quit calling me. Now, they still call, but it automatically ****s up after 1 or 2 rings.If you any business with them, or your insurer doe, they are exempt from the Do Not Call list. They may possibly be the most annoying company I've ever dealt with. Horrible service and dishonest to-boot.
I receive 2-3 calls from Medco daily even though I've repeatedly told them to stop calling and supposedly have spoken to the supervisor about this. They just won't stop. VERY annoying!
The call was from Medco RX - they left a message for me
It apparently is some sub contractor for Medco, the pharma benefits manager. The caller (a woman) had information about a med I was taking and wanted to "discuss" it with me. I think the idea was to switch me to a generic. But before we could have a conversation, she needed my DOB. I told her "NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS." 1) I have been a victim of credit card fraud, so NO WAY am I giving my DOB top a total stranger on the phone.2) HOW DARE HER call me at dinner and ask to talk about my medical condition (you would know the condition from the med). A***n, none of her business, or MEDCO's for that matter (they are a pharmacy not an MD). I mean. how would you like it if someone -- a total stranger -- called you at 8PM and asked about your personal, private medical issues.3) Medco acknowledges the call, and apologized for the "inconvenience." ( I call it a gross breach of privacy). A superviros will call me tomorrow.I'm going to s**** resear****g HIPA, -- I think this is right -- The Health Information Privacy Act. No way should this Medco company be sharing my medical info with some unknown contractor who bothers me during dinner w/o even id'ing themselves on caller id. Bad manners. Rude. Just wrong on so many levels. And maybe illegal. Also going to call my HR benefits manager. She should know about this privacy breach. If you get a call from this #, either ignore, OR answer and tell them that they have no business discussing your medical conditions in an anonymous call.
It's a Medco contractor. They will want to know your DOB and then will want to discuss swit****g you to generics. Tell them it is "NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS". If they know the med, they know the condition. I mean, how would you like it if some total stranger called you up during dinner, asked for your DOB and THEN wanted to talk to you about a very private medical condition.Ask them to send a letter. (They will tell you they can't do it. Obviously they don't want a paper trail). I complained to Medco, and they're looking into it. This is wrong on so many levels. First, breach of privacy. Second deceptive (no company name on the caller ID). Third, they are not an MD, they have NO BUSINESS dispensing medical advice and are not licensed to practice medicine.This "service" needs to be shut down*****to! In the meantime, don't answer, or if you do, just tell them to f*** off.
I have been receiving calls from them. I have Medco as a prescription provider, but do not use their mail-order service.

WITHIN 45 MINUTES, WHILE I WAS HAVING DINNER WITH FAMILY, 3 CALLS, NO MESSAGES LEFT. DO NOT HAVE CALLER ID, BUT USED *69, AT MY EXPENSE. VERY ANNOYING!
Received call from 614-761-1557 wanting information on an existing prescription. When we asked to speak to a supervisor, they weren't available and would call back.
A guy from "Medco", wanted to save money by having my perscriptions mailed. I said no, and to stop calling.
This number will NOT stop calling - we have had enough of getting woke up by this everyday.
