Got a call from this number. I answered and there was no response on the other line.
I am fed up with telemarketers calling me. My number has been on the dnc list for 5 yrs. They are rude, they try to tell me I entered info on the web inquiring schooling or a cruise and I know for a fact that I didn't. I dont think its up to us to inform them every time they call that I am on the dnc list. I read about someone who has been taking telemarketers to small claims court, Im ready to start myself. I only have 400 min a month on my cell and they use it all up. As a realtor I am responsible for checking the dnc list or I will be fined, the same should apply to those annoying a$$holes.
I get calls from people asking about everything from "this is concerning your credit card account" which they don't know anything about to people trying to sell education or anything else I don't need at my age. They have started a scam that starts out with telling you that you will get paid for taking a survey. All they do is ask for your personal information. Why would anyone want to know your entire set of personal information just to view a page. It is called Phishing and they will barrage you with spam and phoney sounding sales promotions using phone solicitation that is unsolicited with some stupid comment about how you were asking online about education or whatever product there was when you actually were only trying to take a survey. They don't stop because the Phishers continually keep selling your information so you will have to change your phone numbers, email addresses, etc. to keep from being harrassed. I have even gotten the question, "Is the homeowner there?" on my cell phone. This isn't a residential phone so KNOCK IT OFF.
This guy is the reason I came on this site. What does someone want to give me two free airline tickets to anywhere in the country for? They send it out so it arrives on May 4th or 5th then tell you that you only have until May 6th to reply. That is the same thing as hardcore sales where they tell you must take this deal right now because it won't be possible tomorrow. They want you to think you qualify for their standards as if you don't have to right to check them out or check what the product is actually worth. If you tell them that you don't buy anything on the same day you hear about it, they realise you know what they pulled and already give up. This guy's company is supposedly named "Hammond Reed". I am wondering if anyone else has heard of them?
there are companies whose sole purpose is to find out if these are working numbers. All they do all day long is call and try to get an answer. Thus the reason no one is there (or at least why no one says anything) when you answer.
The company is called Education Decisions .com so I guess it is a website solicitation. The little piece of the recording asked about me wanting information about a college degree and had a British accent. Then it said if I wanted to be added to its no-call list to press 1. Pressed one and it asked for my phone number so I hung up and blocked the number myself.I really love the blocking feature on my cell. Best feature I have ever had. It can unblock too. Best of all, it's free.
Called my house 4 times today and leaves a message with no voice on it. Harassment!!!
no one there when answered phone.
These telemarketers call/harass you to sign up for online ed courses. I found out the carrier is Lucre Technologies. R. Steven Hale/Pres.& CEO. their business line is 616-361-0128. Business address: 4011 Plainfield Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525. I hope more people join me in finding out who's behind this and making them regret their business practices.
I live in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and they call me almost everyday tring to sell me something or telling me that I have won a trip and then start asking for personal information. They fill my voice mail box with pre-recorded messages.
