Leave a CommentFirst I get these unknown calls out of Kalamazoo Now I get them from Grand Rapaids Michigan???
said they called to confirm an order
I Think this is a telemarketer but I do not know. They were supposedly calling about a recent order I placed on my credit card. I do not know of any order,so I asked the young man if he would tell me what had been ordered. Altho he said yes, we were disconnected. No one will return my call now. I am still trying to find out who is calling.
Yes****ay I got calls from a different Michigan number. Today I am getting them from this Michigan number. I am on the DO NOT CALL list for cell phones. Is this another scam?
This number calls and says nothing, and upon no answer on my phone, leaves no message.
They had my credit card information, phone number, address, and name. They've called me 7 times in the last 4 hours and won't leave me alone!!
Called and identified themselves as vista services. The woman that called said that she was sending me $120 in gas vouchers. Wanted CC info..... RUN FAST AND FAR ! DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING !! S***bags !!!!!!!! The number they called from was 616.980.7635
Called regarding about my credit card, trying to make me spend money to ship so****ing out to my house.
This number has ****ed my phone the last 3 days. I finally picked up and knew it was a scam in the first place. The guy had the last 4 digits to my cc and my home address. I told him I didnt live there anymore nor in that state. I tried to keep him on the phone as long as I could and not talk about what he wanted to sell me. Told him to take my number off my list and they are not aloud to be calling my cell phone and shouldnt have my cc number. SCAM!!
they have called me 4 times in the last 5 hours. No message was left and I certianly don't know anyone in the 616 area code. this is just more scamers.
This number keeps calling me...has called me 3 times within the last 3 hours, no messages are ever left. Annoying.
They call you right as your waking up and talk a ***dred miles a minute they kept trying to tell me to say ok! i said it once but not to ok who are you and they charged me anyways!!!!! I called chase and canceled my card but Im scared they have all my info :(
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! This is a ID theft scam!
This number has been calling me for two days, I havent answered cause i never answer unknown numbers and after reading this i definitely wont. Called back and said it was confirming an order, when i havent ordered anything at all. the only place i can think of that i recently gave my phone number and can possibly have my info is through out gofreecredit.com.. right after that these calls s****ed.. hmm.. im cancelling my card
I've been getting soooooooo many calls from this ****** number! When I finally pick up, I come to find they know the last 4 digits of my card number, where I live, and my full name. I am so mad and I want to know who leaked my info to this scam artist. They kept talking so fast to try to trick me and I just said "No, I don't want any of that membership at all." They still wouldn't stop talking to me so I just ***g up. I'm really uncomfortable and I think I might cancel my card. Can anyone tell me if there's anything else I can do to protect myself from these type of scams? Any help is appreciated.
The company identified themselves as the "Discount Savings Club" and tried to offer me a $120 gas rebate card. I asked how they received my info, and the rep said that I had been put on a rewards list because I made a qualifying purchase recently(I asked what it was and they didn't know of course). They had my credit card number and tried to verify my address so they could charge me $2.95 for the shipping of the card.I refused, but I suspect they will charge my card anyways. Apparently this company goes by a lot of names, "Direct Discount Club", "Leisure Time Saving" and "Savings Club Direct" to name a few and after charging you shipping they tack on random other charges. Sooooooooooo....1) DO NOT SIGN UP2) You might want to consider freezing your credit card if they verified your address. It's impossible to contact customer service to cancel your "account/subscription"
Called about 30 minutes ago and didn't leave a message. I called the number back from my work phone and inputted a fake number when it prompted me to enter my number. It said "thank you" and ***g up.The message kept telling me that it was calling about my order (said "order" doesn't exist) and that I would still get it even if they couldn't reach me.I checked all of my credit/debit cards and there has not been any strange activity, but about a month ago my PayPal debit card was scammed for some purchases all over New York. That matter has since been resolved.
I answered a call from this number and they said that they were VISTA card services or so****ing like that. It was also very loud in the background. They said that they were going to be sending me some kind of vouchers (they were hard to understand) and then went through validating out dated credit card information on me. I have no idea how they got old credit card information on me but I sure am happy that what they had was incorrect.
They said they were from Vista services and that I had made a purchase at one of their "partner establishments", but they couldn't tell me which store or when the purchase was made. They had the last 4 numbers of my card and my city, and they wouldn't take no for an answer when I said I wasn't interested. They also had my info on file but wanted me to key in certain numbers, like my zip code on my phone "for verification". Sounds fishy to me!
THEY ARE A SCAM...DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO
got 2 missed calls. found this website and cancelled my card...though i did call back to see what was on the other end (probably a ****** idea). recording on phone said so****ing about this is an order confirmation, then gave 3 options - leave a message, stop receiving calls about this order, or stop receiving calls via the internal dept.shady.
These people called me 3 times yes****ay. It was so loud in the background I could barely understand them, but I did hear them when they said the last 4 digits of my card number. I told them to stop calling me and that I was reporting them
These people are relentless! They've been calling me ALL DAY (from # 616-980-7365) and two days ago they also called me ALL DAY (from #517-933-2016). Same thing as everyone else here has said - calling trying to send me a packet full of gas vouchers and some other coupon-program-scam. I wonder how they got the last four digits of my credit card and my cell phone number. I think I'm going to get a new card.
Keeps calling but does not leave a message. Have not ordered anything that I need confirmation on. Annoying.
Comes up as Order Confirmation on caller ID. They seem to be trying to get people's credit card numbers nationwide. Call themselves Vista Services and offer free gas cards. They have several phone numbers they call from and will call up to 14 times in one day. Even holidays and late at night. They already have the last four digits of credit card numbers. Seems like they hack internet shopping websites to get that info.
frequent phone calls. An Obvious scam.
I have been getting these phone calls ever since I ordered so****ing from Circuit City. I tried not to confirm anything with the man on the phone but he was trying to tell me they were going to send $100. Home Depot card and if I wanted to keep the discount service they would charge me $24.95 a month after I recieved the Gift Card. I did **** up on him after telling him no I don't want it, but I'm****uming the damage is already done since he did have our name address phone # and last 4 digits of Visa Card. He said I am getting these calls because of an order made with my Visa online. Anyone else order from Circuit City before these phone calls s****ed?
numerous calls daily, no messages left
2nd call, no message left. caller id says order confirmation. I have not ordered anything.
Asked my wife if she was a signatory on my bank account. Called three tmes today, twice after we told them we were on the no call list and not to call us a***n.
calls, no one on there end, or ****s up
keeps calling all hours trying to sell me so****ing.
Answered second call received today on my cell phone from 616-980-7365. Caller (female) called me by my first name and was talking real fast (with a lot of noise in the background) about what company she was calling from. I had to scream on the phone to stop her and asked her to repeat the info. It was some company I never heard of, but she said "I had recently purchased so****ing with my Mastercard from one of their affilliates and as a result they were sending me $100 in". I stopped her (I had to a***n scream on the phone) and told her "do not call me a***n" and ***g up. On the Internet this number reported for Vista Card Services and typed as Scammer/Fraudster. The number is a land-line in Grand Rapids (Kent County), MI.
I have received many calls from this number and also 231-732-2737. I have never answered the phone and never received a voicemail. I always research unknown numbers and my concern is now they are calling cell phone numbers as I no longer have ahome phone, these scams cost money as no all of us have unlimited plans.
I have received one to many of these calls! It's a marketing call thats for sure. I think if you ever applied online, how to make money on the web with google ect well thats how they got your info. Well trust me get a new debit from your bank or you will notice charges for so****ing you did purchase.
I was called by this ph #(616-980-7365), when I answered, the man in what sounded like an office environment, said "hello" and then ***g up. The caller ID read "order confirmation". I called back to determine what order he was confirming. A recording answered and ask for my ph# to confirm the previous confirmation order call. When I gave my ph#, the caller said "thank you" and ***g up. I suspect a scam of some sort. I called AT&T to report a possible phone scam, they were uninterested and totally useless.
This number just called me. The woman sounded middle eastern and it was as noisy as a day care center in the background. I ***g up when she asked for my entire credit card number. I checked my statement online and there was a charge put through for 30 cents yes****ay with a description as "INTL SERVICE FEE". So I immediately called Wachovia to see if this was linked to the phone call I received and sure enough it was. I had made a purchase with Copyscape online for $10 and because they are an international company Visa charged me 30 cents for processing. Okay fine. But apparently, Copyscape then sold my information and they do with their entire customer list (name, address and only last 4 digits of cc #) to another company. And that's the company that called me and wanted to sell me so****ing. Copyscape isn't the only company that does this. A lot of them do. Freecreditreport.com has thousands of complaints with the BBB for this same thing. I would say read the terms of a company before buying anything from them. Worst case scenerio, just order another card number from your cc company.
Saying that I am eligible for a phone card or they use that I ordered a product online and that they have the last 4 digits of one of my CC cards. Most of my calls keep coming from the MI area and I live on the East Coast.
NOTHING THEY JUST **** UP. I CALLED BACK AND A ANSWER MA****E WAS ASKING FOR MY PHONE #> I GAVE IT TO IT. BAD DECISION. NOTHING HAPPEN SO FAR.
DO NOT verify any of your information with this company! By the time they reach you they already have the last 4 digits of your credit card number. Make sure that you call your bank and get the card canceled ASAP as well (if you have Chase they can send you a new one in 2 days for a $5 fee). Call the number back and press the option to be removed from the list, wait 3 days and they will stop calling. Don't bother with the 888 or 866 number they tell you to call because it doesn't work. They have several bogus schemes they are doing pretending to be Visa, they say you will be getting a gas card or so****ing then rack up charges of up to $60 per month on your account. If you really want to get on them, call your local attorney general and file a formal complaint about them.Other numbers they call from are: 213-732-2737 and 517-933-2016 - all somewhere outside of Detroit.

This is a company called Auto rewards todayThey called my dd and she said the send the info in the mail she was in class at college and they ID themselves as Bank of America. They have charged her card with 4 different companies :$19.87$2.952$95$.95JUST say NO to them !
Who ever this company is or what they actually want is unclear. They say they have tried to reach me many times, they say they will ship my order. Since I haven't ordered anything I don't know what this is all about. I know I had better not be charged for anything.I'm thinking another holiday scam.
Had the same thing happen. I first talked to them and they mentioned a gas card and vista etc but weren't specific. I told them to not call a***n and that I don't want anything they had. They've called back three times this last week but haven't answered when I said*****o.
I had just placed an order for Walmart and thought that it was a Walmart rep calling me back to the caller ID saying Order Confirmation and it was not. They had the last 4 digits of a card I had recently lost and canceled. The rep on the phone said they wanted to send me 100 dollars in rebates and they would only charge me 2.95 this time and in the future it would be 24.99, I told them that they did not have permission to charge my card and got a confirmation from the rep. We disconnected and I tried to call back and talk to a supervisor and got a recording loop. I contacted my bank to ensure the card had been cancelled and they opened a case as there were known issues with tht number.
I received a call from this number and no one would answer me, but I could tell that someone was on the line. I ***g up.
Came up on my phone as "Order Confirmation" and I have no pending orders.
The past 3 days I've received numerous calls from 3 different numbers in MI. On 11/17, 616-980-7365 called me twice; I didn't answer and they left no messages. On 11/18, 231-732-2737 called me FIVE TIMES. I tried to answer the last time, but missed it so I called back. I got a recording about "order confirmation." On 11/19, 517-933-2016 called me three times. I answered the 3rd call and spoke with someone who identified himself as "Tim" with "Card Member Services." He referred to me by name and said it was regarding Mastercard ending with **** (he gave me the last 4 digits of my card). He said they were going to send me $120 in gas certificates in a red & white envelope to my address. As he was stating my address, I interrupted him and told him to remove my information from their database. It's only been 30 minutes so we'll see if I get more calls. I'm planning to report this to my bank and possibly the police as well.
Have gotten 2 calls, one from this number, and one from 231-732-2737, both with the same sctick and weird background noise heard over the guys' voices. Sounded like they were calling from a car manufacturing plant or so****ing. They tell me they're calling on behalf of my Visa, and they tell me the last 4 #s on the card. They go on about how I've been selected for $100 in gas rebates or so****ing, but I ***g up before they could continue. Most definitely a scam.
keeps calling from grnd rapids i dont answer and they keep calling
Two calls tonight & no response either time I answered. Was getting similar calls from a similar number months before, so looks like that number got shut down & this is the new one.
I got the same call. They keep saying that they will charge my credit card for 2.95 as shipping and then they will give me 120 dollar. I think it is definitely a scam. I said I am not interested and don't charge anything from my card. They did know my last 4 digits.
I took their call and they knew th last 4 digits of my MC and same gas rebate game...I could hear children in the background. I just ***g up.
I missed a call from this number and dialed it back. Got the same phony sounding recording about my nameless order from nameless company. I was going to leave a message asking them to call me back (because I didn't order anything), but got su****ious when they asked me to type in the number they had just called me at.
I had this happen too. They've called me 7 times in two days and never left a message. I called back and got the message. I finally answered and they tried to tell me they were sending me a gas card. He knew the last 4 digits of my visa card though. I told him not to call back and to take me off whatever list he got my info from. There is no way this is legit!
I had the same problem. Only I answered once, and they knew my name and were trying to tell me that I won a gas card. This is a scam.
I had 2 missed calls in an hour. When I called the # back I got the same recording.
This number called me and I missed the call. So I called the number back and they wouldn't tell me what it was they were calling about. I have not ordered anything and am curious as to what this is about?? There is no way to talk to an actual person, it's all a recording.
I had the same issue as the gentleman above. Someone called me from this number and when I called it back there was a recording about an order being processed. I do not have any outstanding orders anywhere.
person calling refused to id themsevles. i called the number back and the recording identified them a an order processing center. i don't have any outstanding orders from anywhere.
Weird, they just told me that they were going to send my a packet full of stuff.
