Leave a CommentI received a call this morning, same information. As I didn't realize the number I didn't answer and they left a voice mail. Claiming to be with Social Security helping disabled people return to work. Explained they where working with the ticket to work from home at 9.00 hrly, 20 hours per week. Work would involve****isting with phone calls and internet service.
Same as MaggieC : 1-866-501-8387. My worker has never heard of them.
I'm glad I read this site! I just received a recorded call from NTIand was tempted to pursue it further. I sure won't now! I'm reallygetting sick of all these pre-recorded calls when I'm on the Do-Not-Call list!!!!!!!
Received a call and looked up the URL found this on the search. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like they use a variety of different phone numbers. I thought it was too good to be true LOL
We just got one too.**** 778 0050 was the number.Mass electric com. So****ing should be done. How are theygetting gov.phone numbers? What else can they do?
I got the same call from NTI or MTI or at one point in the message it sounded like STI. They claim it's for people on Social Security Disability and they want you to do computer work from your home or $9.00 an hour, but your Social Security Benefits will not be effected. I find this hard to believe. The number that showed up on my caller ID was from Boston @1-866-501-8387. This sounds too good to be true so I must be a scam!!!!
i also got a call about this nti program sounds to good to be true, i have aquestion how did they get the phone no. for disabled s.s people who is selling our no. we have enough problems without these scussbuckets. i am going to calll my local network station hopefully they can get somewhere thank for your commenta
I got this call this morning..the number that called me is 1-617-778-0400.
Same story about working from home
It sound like the same STORY I got.
Hi Everyone - I have a ticket to work (an actual piece of paper) from SS, but was told when I give it up with a company, that is it, I don't get anymore. Here in NV, we have a government employment service called "Job Connect" and they told me they do have legitimate jobs that you can do from your computer at home, if you are honestly disabled. You must go there in person. I would think SS has the same programs in all states. Thank God! I received a message on my answering ma****e, just like you all did, reiterating the SS Ticket program. Now, after reading your comments, I've saved myself valuable time. I found Maggie C most helpful and accurate. I have found nothing but carefully crafted/worded scams on the Internet, but find comfort in knowing if you stay close to home and your own State's or City government, there are jobs for the disabled. Also, every, try your local disabled offices for their employment bulletin boards. Peace and God Bless you
I received this same call yes****ay, April 15th. At first it sounded good and the "ticket to work" plug is one of the programs offered through Social Security to****ist in returning to ***nful employment;however, I can't confirm that these folks are affiliated with the legitimate "Ticket to Work" program. I didn't opt out so if they call a***n (and I thought it weird that it was a recording rather than a real person one could have a q and a with...)I can get better identification and verification of whom they are.Don't send any money, you all!! A job should NOT cost you. And don't give them/verify for them any of your personal info including SS#, date of birth, mother's maiden name, etc. The bad guys are out there and these folks may be another group of crooks. Be careful!!
I got the same call as Sherry. It sounded to good to be true.
I just recieved a call today. It is a set up to get us thrown off of SSDI. People think it will help with all the expense that comes from being disabled. Times are hard for everyone. The goverment wants to save money and one way is to get rid of us. Look at where the call came from!!!
I was just going to check it out. I recieved my call yes****ay. I thought it might be a scam and it looks as if I was right. These people are sick for taking advantage of the people on fixed incomes.
I have also received calls from this company. I am glad to see that it is not from Social Security, they have a program called Right To Work, they make it sound like it is from the same program. Someone needs to turn them over to the local television station. As a need to beware of caller. If is bad enough that we are disabled we have to deal with people like these.
Has anyone contacted them through their website? Has anyone dealt with them and had problems. As I understand it if you earn $1 they take a .50 deduction from your disability check. Isn't this correct?
I received the same type of call yes****ay. Thanks to all of you for your comments. You've saved me precious time from dealing with those idiots.
From PA and I just received one of these calls about 5 minutes ago. It's a company called NTI and they say they are offering jobs to people on SSD. They also say you will not lose your benefits plus earn at least $9.00 per hour working from home. The website is www.mytickettoworkathome.org I called Social Security to see if there was anyone there I could talk to and check out if they new anything about this company. It doesn't seem to appear that Social Security knows anything about the company at all. It did give me an opt out selection when the message was done so I shouldn't be receivng anymore calls. Hope this helps!
Answered phone - curious as to who it was.Clearly someone was on the line. When I said "hello" they ***g up.When I try to return the call - the line is busy.Phone number is not listed on any reverse lookups (that I have used at least)
These clowns have called me twice so far. I do not pick up on out of state callsUNLESS I recognize the number.I found out the call originated in Boston, Mass but haven`t been able to ID the caller. This really annoys me as I am on both the State & Federal Do Not Call lists.I have tried a number of times to call them back and give them***** , but the **** number is ALWAYS busy.Too bad some genius dosen`t invent a device that would allow us to deliver a moderate to severe electric shock to the telemarketer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
