(618) 551-5619

So, I answered a call from a friend on a cordless phone, before the battery went dead I picked up my hard line phone to finish the call in progress. At that very moment the "call waiting" beeps in and I look and it shows the caller ID NAME as "DEPROCESSING" (that's a new one!) as well as the number of 618-551-5619. Of course I do NOT answer and since the number has previously been blocked, it only beeps once and then they get the blacked call recorded message. Worked perfect as usual! I've no problem with my phone ringing once or twice. In fact, I often am in the middle of so****ing when my phone rings, but I figure if the call is important they can leave a message. My time is more valuable to me than wasting it on chit chat. I have a life with real people and can't afford to just talk for the sake of jibber jabber.

Didn't recognize the area code or exc****e nos so didn't answer. No VM left so obviously a scammer. I get dozens of these kinds of calls every week and just don't pick up the phone if I don't recognize the number. Maybe if everyone adopted this policy these crooks would get tired of low results and quit, but seems there are always just enough mullets out there to meet their production goals.

Got a call. A recording s****ed, so I ***g up on them.

Said his name was Peter, then immediately s****ed a recording trying to sell home security. My number is on the Do Not Call List and has been for years and these people disregard the law and call anyway knowing that the odds of them being fined or taken to court are slim. The phone company should be held liable also allowing them to use a false name to hide their iden***y.
