Leave a Comment"Melvin Dixon" called to inform me that I had been approved for a $10,000 loan I supposedly applied for online on (which I hadn’t). He said he had my application and social security number and asked if I wanted to proceed with the loan. When I asked, he said he was from First Financial of San Diego (a legitimate business) and gave me the real address. I called my state’s Attorney General’s office which confirmed that it was a scam. He suggested that I report it to the FTC (1-877-382-4357) which I did.
