I just got a call from him this morning. So should i just throw the check away?

It is one of the very common scams on craigslist.c***uy sends you the big check, tells you to take fee for your services from it and send the rest to his "shipper" using money gram. 2 weeks later your bank figures out that check you deposited was fake and wants their money back. If you don't have it, they charge you for forgery.

I'm going through the same thing right now! He says his name is Eddie Chamberlin and sent me a check for $2,682. He doesn't call me but he contacts me via email. He's waiting for me to send him the money after I take out my advance payment. What happened with your situation?

I applied for this job over the Internet. And this guy Eddie chamberling mailed me a check for 2,600. And kept calling my phone. He wanted details on the check deposit. Don't do anything with any guy that calls you from this number. It's a scam! Becareful!
