THEY HAVE CALLED HERE REPEATEDLY EARLY IN THE MORNING & THROUGH OUT THE DAY!!! PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP!!
I get 10-15 daily phone calls on my cell #. How do I make them stop?
I received several calls saying "please hold for an important message" but was disconnected each time.
I got two calls today from this number -- one on my home phone and one immediately after that on my cell phone. Then a third call on my cell about two hours later. Thanks to everyone for posting warnings -- I was just about to call. On my home phone it comes up as "Discover Financial Services" on caller i.d. On my cell, just as the number. No messages accompanied any of these calls. I will likely call Discover later today to inquire.
This person keeps calling my business cell phone which is a***nst the law!
This is DISCOVER FINANCIAL.Recieved a call yes****ay from "Chris" asking for "Louise." (I'm divorced, live alone. My phone number is unlisted.) I told him he had the wrong number and asked that he not call a***n as I work nights. (This was an 8am call.) He called 5 more times yes****ay and then called a***n this morning, 10am, and woke me up a***n. Now I'm spending the day calling all over Discover Financial. I'll post whatever info I glean.Call Center's supervisor: Jenny Romig - 623-***-2798
calls several times a day to my kids cell phone.
They call me almost every days twice a day. I don't have any business relationship with Discover Card.
Sorry, commenting twice in a row to fix my mistype. The correct site is phonenumber.com
I got the call several times before they finally left a message. The first time I got it, I used phonenumbers.com to reverse search the number and found out that it was a cellphone number. They finally left a message today claiming they were Discover Card, but 1. I dont use Discover Card; and 2. I already know it's a cellphone number. They will give you Discover Card's phone number, though, if they leave a message, which is a pretty good trick if you ask me.
Got several calls today (Sunday-May 10th, 200O)on our phone. Called the number talked to Ebony who said they had no record of our number being in their system. We don't have a discover card and never have. I told her it was ridiculous to call people on Sundays and she said they could call seven days a week. She said since the number they were calling was a fax line that the system probably deleted our number and that's why she couldn't find it. She said if it called a***n to call back. I told her I would call back alright and then call the FCC first thing Monday and file a complaint.
They have called me about 7 times today. I had finals at school and the called relentlessly. I answered it once and it was a man asking for "Amber" no professional calls and asks for my by first name. I have never had that happen before. I answered and said that "she" was unavailable and she would be later on tonight, then I asked what it was regarding and he ***g up on me. They have called three times since 5 pm. I actually panicked a little and went online to pay my payment for this month (which was NOT late).
they're calling me about a creditcard I don't have, they call all day everyday.
Called me at least 10 times and never left a message until the last time.
They called me and I gave them my Social like a dumb a**. Who are they and how did they get my number?
When these ****s call you back, just call the main switch board at ( 224-405-5649) and explain to the secretary what has been going on and you need to talk to someone. She was nice enough to switch me to a voice mail to leave a message. Oh yea, the company is located in Riverwood, Illinois.Spread the number around. If enough people call and complain, perhaps they will stop calling us poor sob's.No, i don't have there card and don't want it.The best i can do right know.
They call me many times per day. We need to report to FBI to stop this calling.
Dont call me
I am quite sure THIS IS A SCAM! They called me 4 times in one morning (I let voice mail pick up), and left me an 866 # to call back. I contacted Discover directly through the phone number on the back of my card. I was informed that there is absolutely no reason they would be calling me -- A) I'm not the primary on the card, B) there is no delinquency on the account, and C) there is no su****ious activity flagged under my name. When I did return the call to 623-***-2790, the man asked for my FULL 16 digit account number. This is NOT a legitimate credit card company practice. They should only ask be asking for the last 4 digits of your account #, and then verify your iden***y from there. When I refused to give that info and told him to look me up by my phone number, he hemmed and hawwed, then finally asked me if I was "Susan Peterson". I said no, and he said that he was sorry for the mix-up and they wouldn't be contacting me a***n. I'll bet they won't. They know I'm aware so****ing is fishy! If anyone calls you for so****ing like this - THEY should have your information already. DO NOT give personal or financial info like this out!

They called my WORK number. So I think it must have been a wrong # or random dialing as we just got a new phone system here with all new #'s and I have have not given this number to anyone yet, not even my family!
It is the discover card collections department, even if you miss one payment they will call you - it was nice for me because i normally pay the full balance each month and the lady was very nice to wave all late fee's and phone fee's
623-***-2790 calls about every third day. ***ody is ever on the other end. It just ****s up.....
I have explained that I lost my job and was told BY their representatives that we could work out a payment plan if I needed to. When I called to do this with ALL the info including the reps name they said if I had a job they could help me. If I had a job I wouldnt need the help. They did not care nor try to help I explained I won't be able to pay. The call ALL day long, the earliest I have had a call was 7:00 am and the latest was 10:00 pm EST! They should not be allowed to call before or after certain hours and have a quota for a week. NOT to mention the call on the weekends..they acutally called on a Sunday morning! I was willing to work so****ing out and try but they didnt want to, there is so much I can do now without having any source of income. Now my intrest rate is so high and my minimum payment after missing one payment so far is so high, I need to pay off the min. payment.
call me every week trying to collect, I have told them my situation but they do not care, calls recieved up till 2100 and prior to 0730 daily
Calling at all hours, several times a day.
I know the area code is supposed to belong to a part of the State of Arizona---but these clowns are actually calling from INDIA---HOW FUNNY--- Discover has actually farmed out their aged accounts to India---how cheap are they?! Wanna have some fun with jugdish or ***ima or whatever their real names are? get an Airhorn---after your 'message' their headset a few times with one of those babies--they will stop calling or go back to their famous automated calls---LOL. give it a try---it always works!!
they are relentlesscall all hours (8am Sunday mornings, 9pm at night)Have some respectfind a new hobby other than harrassing people!!!!!!!!!!
Phone rings several times a day, either they **** up right away or a female voice recording asks you to hold, then ****s up after a few seconds. Aggravating!
I just got a call from them...no message. I do not have a Discover card. Are they trying to solicit business?
tell them to quit calling...
call 3 to 5 times everyday.
Calling me on my cell phone for some one else whom I dont know. Will not stop calling
****s up when asked to hold for important message
Call came in on my cell phone around 8AM EST and when I answered there was silence. I said "hello" a few times and then ***g up. What good is the "Do Not Call" list if this stuff keeps happening?
My family and I have been terrorized by Discover for several months now. A card was fraudulently obtained and then used in my name. I learned about this from a credit report. I have completed the police report etc. but Disover is now calling me wanting money. We have been threatened; I have been accused of "not paying my bills"; and they have demanded to know where I am (from family members). I have reported them to the FTC.
I get 3-4 calls a day from this number and they never leave a voice mail message.
