Leave a CommentThank you for posting this Jane, I live in Australia. I too have had phone calls from Tyler Hall Ph: 818 350 4648 and Cell: 626 325 8696 wanting to set me up earning money from my website, but I would need to invest at least $5,000. I was one of 1000 people chosen. As I didn't have the available funds he was prepared to let me pay $2,500 and pay the rest when my website was making money. As my credit card was not available he wanted me to go to the bank and get another credit card for $2,500 so use as "leverage" a***nst my website business. He wanted to know my bank so he could ring them and convince them to give me credit. I told him I thought it was a scam and he got quite angry. He is very determined, seemed knowledgeable about the internet process and his questioning was well structured. I was put on hold where he - had to ask his boss, his wife was phoning, let me see what I can do. Alarm bells rang on the first call nut I was curious and surprised that he rang back. He's good. I never give any bank or credit card details out over the phone even if I know the organisation. I now wonder - How did he know I had a website or was it chance, how did he get my phone number? I subscribe to Commission Junction you have an affiliate account as do I so does he have to some "secure" information. I believe in karma so what goes around comes around if not in this life then the next. In future if in doubt and the caller is ***ue you take control and **** up. Usually if money is owed to you the phone call would be followed by a letter.
I live with my mother. My mother has been getting phone calls for the past month from this number (626) 325-8696 but there is no identification as to who it is the caller on her Caller ID. It is blank. Usually, the caller would be calling during working hours--the hours I am normally working at my job. My mother would always tell the person I am not home. The person would always be asking when I would be home but never say what is the purpose of the call. One day I had come home earlier than usual and that same phone call came. I decided to pick up the phone but disguised my voice as my mother. The person said his name is Tyler Hall, and he wanted to talk to me about a check he wants to release but cannot release it until he talks to me. He claimed he was from Clickbank and being an affiliate of Clickbank, I would receive a check. He did not want to tell me the amount of the check unless he had talked to me, saying he cannot give out that information. I asked him where he was calling, and he said he was calling from an area called Sierra Madre near Pasadena, CA. I asked what was the name of the company (that did advertising for Clickbank.) He did not want to identify the company. I said I would leave a message but told the person I felt it was a scam. After I ***g up, I decided to look at my Clickbank account online. I have never really advertised for Clickbank; if so, I never received a check. I looked up my account and the amount still says $0.00 in commissions. I had opened a Clickbank account a few years ago, but then realized advertising as an affiliate would take a lot of practice and time (which I do not have). So, I gave up on being a Clickbank affiliate even though there were websites that I have seen claiming it would be easy if the person has the right tools. Perhaps, the right tools but affiliate marketing always seems to be c****ing as technology on the web always c****es. So, I know, that phone call was bogus. Clickbank automatically sends out a check to all their affiliates twice a month if commissions are earned. I show I have not earned a commission. I have not advertised anything for Clickbank commissions in years.I am leery of calling back that phone number because I realize that person is a liar. But, how do we get that person to stop calling? If I return that person's phone call, I may become hostile and tell him to stop calling this number. Has anyone received any phone calls similar to this one? Does any one have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
