I also received a text from this same number, with the same instructions to call and re-activate my card. I called Fifth Third and reported it. While on hold with them, I googled the number and saw that it was a scam, which I figured, because I don't have a cc with Fifth Third, either. Kind of scarey that they can get our cell numbers now. One can never feel safe or private anymore.

I don't bank at Fifth Third.  I received a text from [email protected] Fifth Third Alert and to call 629-923-9700 for details. My question is how did they get my cell number?

I received a text message from [email protected] saying to call this number along with a the message "Fifth Third Alert". If you call this number, the message says so****ing about your account being disabled and instructs you to enter your credit card info. It is a scam. DO NOT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. If you already have, call fifth-third to let them know so they can cancel the card. I called Fifth-Third after getting this text and they said, it's a Fraud and not to respond to it.

I received a text to call this number, a Fifth Third Alert. I don't bank at Fifth Third.
