Leave a CommentThis company- Travel Service Network and it's DBA's uses many phone numbers such as 1 800 240-0428 and is located in Batavia, Il.
Sorry about your scam! You are right- this company "TSN" or " Travel Service Network" or Star Vacations" or many other DBA's is a lying, cheating outfit controlled by Beth {Elizabeth} Valente in Batavia, IL. Ther are numerous complaints on the internet and numerous reports to the Illinois Attorney General over the past 10 years. Beth continually c****es Corporate Names and gives false information to all business transactions. She is clever, manipulative and smart. Although some of her deals are legit, I think there are more problems than reach the internet. Curently she has now put her daughter "Madeline Allerton" in an administrative position and I doubt that her daughter has any knowledge of the truth of the company's ethical of financial positions.
Re: Sue's postSorry this happened to you. Contact your state Attorney General without delay. We've received two calls from "Travel Services" - there is no message on our answering ma****e.TSN, Inc was involved in a massive class action lawsuit in 2007 through the Missouri Attorney General for ripping people off. We found out too late to recover any of our losses. We'd purchased a Time Share from TSN, Inc while visiting ***nson, MO several years ago. We were never able to get an answer calling customer service at the phone number we were given, therefore were never able to use it. We learned during a years later visit to ***nson about the class-action suit.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! They go under different names for travel agencies. Supposedly I had won a cruise package were I was just to pay the the taxes. A package was promise to come in the mail and some additional info to my e-mail. I have not received anything from them, and it has been over 3 months. I s****ed calling them every week at the beginning of the month and now I have given up. Customer service never answer their calls or return messages. They now have blocked my number from calling them, when I try to call them from a different number the whole scenario res****s until they block that number too. I am now going to file a report to the Better Business Bureau. Please do not fall for it.
i didnt sign up and i dont know how they got my number
Got a call, claimed I won. I asked how I signed up, they said either i or a friend signed me up. I said highly doubtful. Was asked if so and so is still my email. said i never had such an email. was ***g up on.
So, I've been through this before. Star Vacations contacting me and it is a timeshare company. They say that if you come to a presentation you then get a few options for the different fantastic prizes with no sign-up obligation. Well, first they harrassed us as we said no to signing up 'cause it wasn't the right time financially. Then they realized we were adament, they gave a scratchcard for our prize and we "won" a $25 gas card, in which we had to mail the scratchcard in to an address before the end of the week. Needless to say, we didn't get anything.
I was told i won a cruise. I was concerned about how i was entered for it. I asked, and was told it wasn't important. When I decided to pass, I was ***g up on immediately. Very unprofessional if it is a valid company. They should rethink their customer service tactics and be more honest about their motives.
I got a call with a recorded message from this number and when pressing 1, I spoke with a David Zuno from Batavia, Ill. He was offering me a Carnival Cruise from one of 4 different ports. I asked about Galveston, and he said he could get me a 5 day cruise for $88 per person. I asked if this was a one time deal, and he said yes. I asked if the inside stateroom could be upgraded and he said yes - even to a balcony for the same $88 pp fee! I then asked if I could call him back and he gave me the number of 877-321-6362, ext 5. I Googled both numbers and found the business is in Batavia, Ill, at 222 State Street, has been there since 2002 and has 10-20 employees. The 630 number comes up to several different business names such as Vacation Resort Group, Discount Carnival Cruise Savings, TSN Travel, YTH Vacation, PSOS Inc., and Star Vacations Club. One web site stated it was a vacation "club" with a free 6 month membership, and if you didn't want to join after that time period, you would do nothing and the trial membership would expire. I didn't fine any info under several of the names under Ripoffreport.com, but. . . as much as I love to cruise, think I'll pass on this great "deal."
Caller was a voice automated recording saying I had won a "carnival cruise"I selected opt. 1 and a agent came on the line...My first question was "how did you get my number"? The agent then insulted me and ***g up.
I got a call from this number and stated that I won a carnival cruise too!! see you on the boat!
I got a call & didn't answer. The voice message states that I signed up for a drawing for Carnival Cruises and that I won. They want me to call them. I don't think so. I have been called two times now.
Its ok to answer, Its your membership club!
