I have an update to my posting from Feb. 25th 2010.This company calls repeatedly every so often. No***ays they leave a message. The interesting thing is that they are calling about some account my ex has with some College of Art someplace in California. Here is the catch: I have not been with my ex in over 12 years. I have nothing whatsoever to do with this debt of hers! The cell phone number that RMS calls me on has only been in my possession for the last few year*******sically I am being continually harassed for so****ing that has nothing to do with me, and somehow these people obtained my unlisted cell number to harass me about it?!?De****able.

Didn't pick it up because I didn't know who it was from. They called my cell phone. After reading the previous posts, I won't pick it up when they call back either.
RMS calls daily and never leaves a message until this morning. They asked to called them because I was given as a reference for a loan and they named an individual that I have never heard off. I believe they were trying to trick me into calling them back. I don't know what they want but they need to stop calling.
Someone called saying they were from Michigan and asked if we knew a neighbor (and gave their address) and asked if we could get a message to her. I can't believe a company would do this and can legally do this. We ***g up and they didn't call back.
I have recieved calls from this number twice looking for someone who does not live here. They have a hard time accepting that the person either gave a false number or c****ed their number and now I have it. I was recieving calls for the same person from a different cash debt place until I finally got my number off their list. They must have given the number to these guys to call. Joys of getting a new phone number I guess...you never know who had it before you.
It appears, unless they Stewart (stuwert) or Benson s****ed the number, the 6306575054 belongs to a company en***led RMS for Recovery Management Services located at 4200 Cantere Drive, Warrenville, IL. Reportedly the President is a Mary ****us, the Vice President is a Robin M. Radke & finally, the Secretary is Richard S. RadkeWarrenville, IL is in DuPage County ILEven if the number is legit and Mr. Stuwert or Benson works for this party, they have no business calling my number. They were specially informed NOT to call my number a***n.
I just got a call from "RMS" by a person who ID'd himself as Stu Benson. Extremely rude and pushy. He said he was looking for my daughter on behalf of a University in WI. I noted the number was from Illinois, not was WI. I finally ***g up on him and called the number back. A person came on the line. He said he was MAX STEWART. I asked for Stu Benson. He slipped up and said that was him too, he was the one who called and he s****ed to tell me that he uses that other name as well, but realized his mistake and turned aggressive a***n. I told him to take my name off his list, he said it wasn't on a list. I asked, "then how did you get it my number?" Stewart or Benson or w***ver the sorry individual was said, "I just dialed your number." Naturally I told him not to call my number a***n.Being not far from Ill, I would be happy to go down and file a complaint with the State AG's office. Perhaps Stewart or Benson will be motivated to find other forms of ***nful employment before he serves some jail time.
I had been getting calls from RMS for the last month, 5 times to be exact. The last time they called and I answered to tell them to quit calling. They didn't even want me, they wanted me to get a hold of my neighbor. I didn't even know this neighbor! I did not have any business dealings with this company, and I find it very disturbing they call people's neighbors to try and get a hold of them. Can this even be legal? No privacy? They finally said they would quit calling after I told them I would not help them out. I asked the woman if she called all my neighbors. She told me that was none of my business and if I wanted to find out, I'd better s**** knocking on some doors to find out myself. I asked how she got my number. She told me, "Well you're in 4-1-1!" So apparently anyone listed in the phone book can be called to let them know about his or her neighbor's financial means. I'm telling you now, if a complete stranger with no company ID came knocking on my door about my debt, I'd call the police. Come on people!! This cannot be the norm for debt collection! The woman then told me she was terminating the phone call. I told her not to and that I wanted to speak with her supervisor. She flat-out told me that it wouldn't do me any good. I told her to get him or her anyway. She then told me she was going to patch me through, but just sat there with the phone. Did she not realize I could still hear her *****ing about me? I could hear her saying,"I'm just gonna patch her through to ***ody." So this is why I'm letting people know this. I don't think a good, legit company would be like this. This just sounds shady and wrong on so many levels.
This phone # just called me today and the guy was very rude. His name was Travis and he asked for my sister-in-law, then my brother-in-law. I told them no one by that name lived here and he then demanded for their phone #. Then he asked for my husband and I asked what his name was and what the call was in regards to. He didn't want to give me any info but then asked who I was. Basically, the caller was very persistent and rude. I would recommend not even picking up the phone if they call you.
On occasion, we get rogue calls from "bill collection" agencieslocated all over the country and for no apparent reason. Turnsout they train their new would-be bill collectors (who work only ona c****-c****e commission) by having them deliberately callwrong numbers and harrassing those who answer their roguecalls. Qwest has an additional service where you can block upto 25 specific phone numbers (or by area code and prefix) at atime. It's called "selective call rejection" service. Works like acharm. The "distinctive ring" feature warns of "toll-free" calls, which most bill collectors/scammers use and so are alwaysfradulent. They never leave a message if you do not answertheir calls, because that may be used as evidence a***nst themif ever some plaintiff decided to sue them for FCC violations etc.,because the rogue callers know that using the telephone fortelephone terrorism is a Federal crime. Hence, no voicemailpaper-trail to implicate them in their criminal activities. If you or anyone you know are getting such rogue telephonecalls, best advice is to never answer any calls that you don'trecognize or are not expecting. If it's a legitimate call, thenthe caller will typically leave a message on your voice mail.If the rogue calls become chronic, turn off the ringers on allof your phones except for one, and set it to its lowest ringtonevolume. Usually, the calls will stop after several days or weeksprovided you never answer the calls. It's when you answertheir rogue calls that they take an interest in you, and willmost likely call you back no matter what you say to them. The following information was posted on a complaint site withsome helpful links, if pursuing legal remedies are warranted:Information for filing complaints a***nst rogue telephone calls, telephone harrassment, false "bill collector" harrassment, etc.,in the United States and Ca***a:UNITED STATESUS National Do Not Call Registry, file complaint: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspxFederal Trade Commissionhttp://www.ftc.gov 1-877-382-4357File complaint online: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.govhttps://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=enthat is at www.ftc.govFederal Communications CommissionTelephone toll free: 1-888-225-5322http://www.fcc.gov/contacts.htmlFile complaint online: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumers.htmlhttp://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htmFCC Abandoned Calls Complaint form:http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/1088D-R.pdfemail: [email protected] Business Bureau, Check out a Business, find owner, contact info; file a Complaint:http://www.bbb.org/us/INTERNET CRIME:File report for Internet Crime at:Internet Crime Complaint Centrehttp://www.ic3.gov/default.aspxCA***ARCMP Phone bustersTelephone toll free: 1-888-495-8501Mon-Fri 8:30-5:20 pm (Eastern Time)E-mail: [email protected] Website is at: http://www.phonebusters.com File complaint online: https://www.recol.ca/intro.aspx?lang=en(Register with a password and then can continually file complaints)Ca***a National Do Not Call Registry:Ca***ian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)Telephone toll free to File A Complaint: 1-866-580-3625(to withdraw a complaint is 877-249-2782)CRTC online complaints form: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/pfplin-fccoin-engthat is at www.crtc.gc.caBetter Business Bureau, Check out a Business, find owner, contact info; file a Complaint:http://www.bbb.org/ca***a/
I just got a call from this number today. They did not leave a message. I have not been in college for over 30 years, and have no college-related debt as I paid off my loans years ago. Either they are looking for someone else or they are diversifying from just collecting college loans. lolBTW, "iBlacklist" is a great app for the iPhone for these harassing types of phone calls. It allows you to select from recent calls to add to the blacklist which is really quick and easy.

Came home found two calls on my caller id within 10 min of each other. (12:21 and 12:35 pm) No message left. Looked up number on line and confirmed caller ID RMS - College Loan Collection agency? Confused as I have not gone to college since the 80's and in Ohio at Tri C and prepaid all cl***** myself with no loans. Adult children have not lived at my house for several years. That the calls came within 10 minutes apart is rather disturbing.
Caller, Max Stuart, called my friend asking information about me. He told her that was part of an University (NOT truth). I never gave away my friend's phone number. So, I highly believe that the man didn't have good intentions. Sear****g around, I found that this number is from a collection agency in IL. And those people were doing some funny/fishy business by harassing people to pay what they already apid before. Be careful!!!
Called asking for my son who does not live here. Wanted his telephone number. I refused to give it to her. She said she needed to speak to him because it had so****ing to do with when he was in college. I did not give her the telephone number.
Cell phone is called several times weekly. No debt is owed current or past.
They called me and asked if this was (my address), when I asked who was calling, Cynthia claimed to have important information for my NEIGHBOR and she was hoping I could help her reach her. My number is unlisted AND on the Do Not Call list. And of course I am not going to help her contact my neighbor.
This number belongs to someone who works for a Collection agency. Probably one of those companies that go out and 'purchase' debts supposedly owed to companies, and they pay pennies on the dollar to aquire these debts, and then find the people who allegedly owe the money and harass them to *****. The fact that most of these supposed debts are years old, and the 'debtors' don't even remember details of the accounts don't matter. They will just try to strong arm you into paying a debt that many times was already cleared up with the original company it was owed to. Or perhaps there is a dispute with the original company that was never settled, so the company 'sold'the disputed debt to one of these types of collection agencies. My advice: Don't bother answering the phone because they do NOT want to hear anything except you'll make payment, regardless of whether you really owe the debt or not. Also...check the statute of limitations in your state on owed debt. Many times the statute is about to be up which is why they are being so persistent. If you get a call out of the blue for a debt that is years old, check your states limitations, check the Federal laws in regards to collectors (you are protected)and do NOT promise to pay until you have all the facts. Don't pay a debt twice just to make them go away. Do not pay on a debt that you were having a dispute with the original company. Determine your rights before you do anything. And do not volunteer information to these people.
