numerous automated calls from what appears soliciting funds for various police depts. I get lots from 847 and 630 and one from 708. ATT can put a block on automated calls says problem solver in chicago trib but I haven't tried it yet.

Called at 9:44 AM on 8/7/2010. Caller ID shows "DuPage Co IL". Caller is in a large group of solicitors (judging by the background noise) claiming to be raising funds for the DuPage County Sheriff's Police. I know that they do not solicit funds in this manner, so it has to be a scam.

Same ignorant recording asking me to hold. Since they are acting as DuPage County, I have reported them to DuPage County as impersonating an official phone call, and to the phone company for falsifying their Caller ID report to represent themselves as an official number. Won't do a **** thing to stop them, but it will give some official worker-bee so****ing to think about today

I got 2 calls today from 630-749-1663.  The first on at 2:30 this afternoon from the FOP.  The second at 6:08 from some police organization wanting donations to help police teach the kids in the neighborhood to box to keep them off the street.  It sounded like the same person each time.  Also on DNC list.  Gotta be scammers.

Report them to the FCC. There are forms right on their sight.  Forget the DNC reporting.That seems to do nothing anymore.  FCC is the next step.

Who the heck are these people. Why are we still getting calls from these SOBs even being registered on the do not call list? Some useless yahoo in Elmhurst Ill.

Claimed to be calling for the Fraternal Order of Police.  Obviously a solicitation.  How did they ever get a phone number that would be listed as DuPage County IL?  That makes it sound official.  It would seem even THAT should be illegal!

Same as other complaints. Called 11:10 am on Superbowl Sunday. Listed as a DuPage CO IL. call. No message and return call resulted in a fast busy signal. My phone is also on the DNC list.

Ah-ha, I've been waiting for them to call back with their fund solicitations. They just called on both of my 2 sequential numbered phone lines simultaneously. Caller ID showed from DUPAGE CO IL 630-786-1360 on Line 1 and from ELMHURST 630-749-1663 on Line 2. The girl robot on each said, "Thank you. Please hold for the next available agent." So I conferenced Line 1 on to Line 2 and let the FOP agents speak to each other.

woman called and says "What? you don't care about me enough to pick up your  own son?"  also got a call from 749-1331...called them back and got busy signal...these calls make me nuts

They keep on calling and **** up. Maybe they are a professional group of thieves checking if the coast is clear.

Same thing- lady said "please hold for the next available agent" then it just ***g up.  I called back and got a fake busy tone.  I will report this to the www.donotcall.gov because I'm on the DNC list as well.  I actuall JUST got another call from someone named J Eismann (630) 689- 1740 and it was the same recorded message.  Lovely I bet I s**** getting ****arded with calls now!

Typical please hold for an operator, and then a disconnect. Obviously some lame solicitor who cannot afford to pay enough staff to handle the live calls they war dial.
