how do I stop and report these companies from messaging me, but blocking their numbers??

Calls come from same town or nearby town so they look authentic as if a friend or someone nearby is calling.  Unless you know, you would think maybe a local business that you have been to recently is trying to reach you like the cleaners, or a local repair shop. Then if you answer, you get a message saying they are trying connect YOUR call.  Of course you didn't call anyone.  They called you, but once you answer the call it is likely being redirected who know where.The number I am getting is 201-699-4042.

I have been applying for jobs through Craigslist, it is the ONLY place that my number is given out to anyone that i do not know in person.... so, it is these **** companies putting up fake jobs to collect our information. So, I take all these numbers I get, like 631-220-6371, and I sign them up for everything I can find online. Free ringtones, daily horoscopes, things like that. I figure the longer they are getting incoming text messages the harder it will be for them to send out going ones. I like to collect all telemarketers and spam text numbers and just hand them out all over the internet... so soon all the s*** bags will just be calling each other instead of the rest of us. I can't do it alone people!!! Just sign up the phone number for three different things and we can all make a difference.

I just received a text from this number directing me to www.PAY600.com.  Before this I've received 3-4 others from different numbers about prizes and other loan opportunities.  Somebody must have sold our phone numbers.  I don't recall putting it on any recent sites. ***?!?!?

I have been getting these too.  When I checked the no call registry the answer I got was that it does not apply to text messages.  Nice legislation from our congressmen and senators.  I am planning to write my representatives to ask them to add no text to the legislation.  This is annoying.

I got two text messages from this company today. Since I have a private office line, I called one of the numbers left on the text message, 877-399-7803. Apparently, they got my cell phone number from an online site (homerewardsplus.com) they say I came across at some point. Raul****asin (the foreign guy I spoke to on the phone) said I entered my phone number for an online giveaway. I have never entered my cell number for anything so I know this is not true. He said that I will receive a free gift in the mail, $200 shopping voucher, $50 Target gift card, and $20 Walmart gift card. However, I must pay a small $7 fee for shipping so he asked for a credit card number. Who would give some guy named Raul****asin a valid credit card number? I feel sorry for the poor people they do scam. This needs to be stopped, especially considering I received several phone calls yes****ay and now these text messages. I don't know who to contact about this scam but I do intend to call the phone number they left on my cell phone every time they call me. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

Called number and there's a very disturbing ****** message thanking you for putting your personal info on internet --

I received 2 text messages from this number on March 23, 2010.  This creep uses racial slurs and profanity and says that they will "fraudulently" use your ssn # and sell the information.  Don't call the number back!  Very threatening!  This person needs to be stopped.

Left a text message on my phone.  When I called back it was a profanity laced recorded message.

Got several texts from 6312206371, one at 10:30 pm, refering to www.PAY300.com and www.RAPIDUSA.com. Called number and many rings a very disturbing ****** message comes on thanking you for puting your SSN and information on the internet so they can use it and sell it.

Just received a text from (631) 220-6371, it says:Get up to $1500* with instant approval, no credit checks, and nothing to fax! Visit www.PAY300.com (----2end reply stop----)

Received multiple messages about getting aloan from payday and cash1600.  Reply stop soesn't work.

Sorry, the number I found was a fax number...the ***t goes on.

I also have received many calls over the past 24 hours from this very same number. I am getting messages stating I owe $1,500. I've tried repeatedly to call but the recorded message says to leave a message, next that message box is full. It just continues. It is a terrible nuisance and is costing me minutes on my service. I researched the number on reverse phone number on 411.com and it indicates this is a cell number from Omnipont Commuications, and from Brentwood NY. I googled that and their number is 973-305-9684. I plan to call that company now and complain! Hopefully, this will end the nightmare!

Like Cindy, I also received a text message from 1-631-220-6371 at 1:58 a.m. this morning (Jan 4 2010) with the following message:  "A Cash Advance is only 1 step away! Visit us to apply and get up to $1****** tomorrow! Visit: www.LENDS.com"Just yes****ay (Jan 3 at 6:13pm), I also received a similar text message from 1-201-673-5623, with the following:  "Funds can be securely trasferred (their spelling error) into your bank account in 24 hours! Just apply at www.LOANS12.com"TO both of these messages, I texted back only one word: "STOP"What is the "official" website for the Do Not Call Registry ?  And does it really work ??

Texted me at 2:20 a.m.    to get a cash advance or go to www.LEND5.com. At 6:36 got a text to go to www.LOANS12.com.  I have to pay for my text messaging, not to mention the time of call. How can I report them? Thanks,
