Ads that pop up on your computer with messages like ‘SECURITY ALERT’ or ‘Urgent Notice: your data may be at risk’ – those are signs of a scam. The FTC has been after tech support scammers for many years. Now, the FTC and Florida Attorney General have asked a federal court to shut down six companies and hold their owners responsible for running a Florida-based tech support operation that took millions from US consumers. The companies, including Big Dog Solutions LLC, PC Help Desk US LLC and BlackOptek CE, Inc. allegedly lured people to websites that made pop-up ‘security alerts’ appear on computer screens. When users called the number in the ‘alert,’ the FTC says they reached call center reps who told a series of lies. First, the reps claimed they were authorized by well-known technology companies to service their product — they weren’t. They said they detected security or performance issues, like spyware, viruses, malware or presence of hackers on users’ computers — they hadn’t. They said the performance or security problems needed immediate attention — they didn’t. The FTC says the companies took $200 - $400 from each user for ‘repairs,’ several ***dred dollars more for new antivirus software, and pushed users to sign up for ongoing service that cost up to $19.99 a month. Need real tech support? Online searches may not be the best way to find technical support or get a company’s contact information. Scammers often place misleading ads online, and pay to have their website and phone numbers appear at the top of search results. Instead, look for a company’s contact information on a software package or your receipt.

The last Comment on this number I Posted this Morning. 11 Group Texts. I called all the Numbers back. they all went to Voice Mail but the One no one Answered but strange sound in back Ground. I beleive all number are Connected to the One Number. (MY NUMBER) An I do Beleive it with My Internet Provider. I do beleive they are using my phone for their Work. When You call in with a Problem with Your Cable Tv or Landline Phone or Internet You get connected with Someone to help you. I never Recieved any Spam Calls or Textes untill I had Trouble with my Landline Phone an Internet. I caught them Lieing to me an I told them you are Lieing. I then told them to shut my Service completely off. I don’t want their service No more. That’s when all the calls s****ed coming in all the Textes comming in on my Cell Phone. They had my cell number Because they ask you What is a good number to call you back if the get Disconnected. That’s the Catch. They have our phone Numbers. Another thing. My cell phone has nothing to do with my cable company. Completely boost moble cell phone. When I unplugged my home tv & landline phone an internet to c****e my Living-room around to clean My house.I did not plug nothing back in for like 2 hours. When I went to use my cell phone. It would not work at all no texting no calling out no internet Nothing. I’m like what the F. My cell phone should work no matter what it has nothing to do with SPECTRUM. It a Boost Moble Phone I Pay for monthly service. With Boost moble. It always work untill I unplugged my SERVICE FROM SPECTRUM. I pulled my Cable tv & home phone landline an internet back in then my cell s****ed working a***n. ***** I called Spectrum told them what happened they didn’t say a word then didn’t know what to say. I beleive they Control it all once you give them a extra call back number. ITS SHADY AS DUCK AN ALL THEIR SCAM SPAM CALLS.S****ED COMING IN. Over 500 total in Sonce Dec.9th When I plug in my cell to charge the dam cell phone gets really HOT AN THE CORD TOO. They are in the cell phone work off my ********

Few of theses number have texted or Called before. With in the past month.
