2 calls in 1 day. No voice message left.

I have do not disturb set on my phone. I get calls at dinner time and on weekends. Does complaining here actually DO anything???

since november 2008 ... non-stop till nov 2009...intermittant since then...(3-10 times per month)

Just a warning, I put my name on this do not call list about 6 months ago and just s****ed getting calls a***n. I didn't know 'do not call' lists re-set after a period of time but it looks like theirs does.

This number calls me at all hours, even on Sunday nights. Its constant! They dont leave any messages.

Get this number on my phone ID everyday for the last two weeks.  I am sick of it.  I did answer the phone one time and no one seemed to be on.

Received a call. No message left. Have no idea who the caller is.

Any call you may get from this number is a SCAM!

Received called today.  Caller ID showed name as CSC Holdings.???  They left no message.

I didn't pick up to hear what they had to say.  But I called them back and asked them to put me on a no-call list.  They were nice about it and the process only took a minute.

Yes, its a Sales Call.  Call them and press 2 and put your number on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Rcvd 2 calls from this #. 11:16 am & 2:49pm.  No message left.  This is a great site.  Now I know who it is & I will NOT be answering!

I just got this call and did not know the number so I did not pick up. I checked online for details of the number and found this site. I now know that the message that was left on my phone last week ( which I deleted in error) was from the same number.  The message left on my voicemail was a man asking if I had visited the Optimum site lately and am I a new customer. They called from  631-393-3106 and left no message this time.

if you call the number back you will reach cablevision and will be prompted to speak to an operator or to be put on a do not call list. I think its legit although i didn't speak to anyone. And i wouldn't be surprised that a cablevision rep doesn't know your info, your not dealing with the smartest people out there folks.

i get this phone call at least 2 times a week, sometimes its a guy sometimes its a girl they always push for u to get phone & internet and all i have is cable thru them i always tell them no thanks but they keep talking so i listen && still tell them no thanks but they keep pushing & pushing... DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION, IF THEY'RE FROM CABLEVISION THEY SHOULD KNOW ALLLLL OF YOUR DETAILS

same situation here 5 or 6 calls a day ...I called it back, and you now have the option of taking your # and putting it on their...i.e. Cablevision "do no t call " list and thats what I did, but they said it could take up to 30 days for it to take effect...oh joy!!!

I just got off the phone with a guy from the same number. He said he was from Cablevision's promotions department. He talks very fast, I didn't even get his name. He said as a new customer, he could give me a year long discount and that right now it was only for 3 months.  He kept pushing me to set up an installation date for an upgraded modem.I explained that now was not a good time to call and asked for a number that I could call him back at. He was unable to give me one, stating that he was an outbound call center. I told him I'd call customer service to verify the discount, but he said they wouldn't have access to the same discount package that he has. I said thanks, but no thanks.It just seems very odd and i didn't feel comfortable confirming anything with him.

Received repeated phone calls, left partial message about health insurance.

As stated by Laura...it was a male who called, said he was from Cablevision and would like to offer me a discount on my cable bill.  He proceeded to ask me what package I currently have.  I asked him, if he's calling from Cablevision, why he doesn't already know what package I have.  His answer was that he only had limited information on my account.  May be legit...seems a little fishy, though.

A male called and offered me Optimum Cable Triple Play for $39.95 for an year and when I asked the internet s***d, he could not answer.

My mother recived this call for me.. she became a nervious wreck thinking that so****ing had happened to me, she is on anti-depresant medicine. Who are this people? what kinda people are these? *********s tracking the american people? very dangerous and suspecious especially these days....

A maile voice said he works for Cable Vision company. He claims that Cable Vision offers a subtantial discount to their clients monthly. I had asked to give me all details including his position with the conpany employee ID and direct phone number for contact. I said I will call Cable Vision myself and will discuss all proposed at a later time. In return nothing was proposed at all and call got interrupted.Be careful and very detailed when anyone calls with any type of questions, get info and verify this call.
