I have had this number call me about 5 times today and also 714-255-***0, they spoke with heavy indian accent and when I asked what this was about, they got very angry and told me not to interupt them and wait till they were done speaking. It was obvioius they were reading so****ing off a paper and when I finally was able to talk they told me it was a debt I owed for Payday USA, which i never took out a loan for payday usa, yet they said they were calling with the Law Office of Shawn Wood...I ended up telling off the lady and letting her know it was a big scam and that I was not falling for it. she said my balance was $680 that I needed to take care of it to avoid legal action. Well I dont understand how I owe that money if I have never taken anything out with that company. when I finally ***g up on this lady she called me 5 times back to back to back...it's so annoying to have someone continue to call you over and over. Please beware this is a SCAM...Not sure whom I need to report this too, but they are calling me from the 714 number and 631-456-4041.

This guys are scam....they will never pull any money from us.......

I also got called, just a matter of minutes ago. I do have an attorney who worked on a previous debt collection case for me and I have asked him to call back on my behalf. Oh, and they did not even call me at my number; I happened to be visiting my elderly mom and they called her number. I shudder to think how they may have tried intimidating her had she answered the phone.

Bad news, folks.  It goes on and on and on.  They have been calling me for over 4 months now at my home and work.  I warned my employer about it and, even though they have been told not to call my work a***n, they continue to call anyway.  They usually call the house about 3 times a day and work once or twice.  I HAVE had my attorney contact them (which is how I found out it was definitely a scam plus the fact that I applied for but did not take out a payday loan)and call had no effect.  I told the callers, when I DID answer the phone, that I would be recording the call and they still keep calling.  Have told them that I know it is a scam, and still they call.  I have reported to the Attorney General and many other ***nches of govt and still they call.  Just know that these people are scam callers.  Do not let them scare you or threaten you.  Do not confirm any information that they have.  Always tell them that you know it is a scam and **** up.  They will call right back.  When they do that, I like to just pick up the phone and set it on the desk.  Their dime!!!  Do NOT let these people stress you out!!!  Just let them rant and rave and know that you are in the right and they are thieves and idiots.

It is a 3rd party collection firm owned by the great Shawn Woods.

I just received one of these calls also.  they wanted 680.00 stating that I had taken out a pay day loan...which I did not.  I even checked my credit report and there is nothing on there.

Keep records of all your payments to your loan, contact your loan people as soon as possible to double check that you are taking care of things the right way.  Go to your phone company and block the number.  This is a scam and they will try anything and everything to get money from you.  If they couldn't even give you the right info on the one loan you do have out,,, don't worry about it.  They are annoying phone calls to get and can be scary if you don't know any better but they can not do any of the threats they claim to be able to do.  Don't fall for it!

Got a call today from the Law office of Shawn Woods.  They said that it was in regards to some leagal issue.  This is absolutely false!  And having read other posts I am even more convinced that it is a fraud, I have never taken out a payday loan!!!  Please do not believe these people!  They are frauds trying to get money from innocent, niave people!  Absolutely pitiful!!!!!!

I was bothered by calls such as the above. I told them one day that I found it rather strange that the company/firm they are claiming to represent does not exist. the caller on the other end just said goodbye and that was the end of it. (so far). Now they have s****ed a***n with the Shawn Wood scenario. So I guess they will have to be told that they do not exist either.

I have been receiving numerous calls for the past month like these. Today I s**** getting them from the Law office of Shawn Woods also saying I owe money and that if I dont pay I;m going to loose my job, loose my family etc and go to jail. I have various numbers from where these people call from: 631-456-4041 or 845-523-1053 or 626-768-2535 or 214-447-7578 or 515-595-4132 or 831-531-4133 . I've even had someone say they were from the NY Stste Department of Crime PRevention, gave me a badge number and everything, I called NY and the badge number he gave me is invalid!! I told them once my lawyer told me to tell them I needed to record the conversation, they ***g up. Sometimes the call will come through as a 0000 number. I called the FCC and filed a complaint and gave them all these phone numbers, names and information these people call and give me.

Okay Im scared because some foreigner calling on behalf of  the law offices of shawn woods says i owe 300.00.he has all my information even an account number i didnt have until october of 2009.he says that the loan was taken out in july of 2009 which makes this accusation invalid.ive called my bank they have no records of any loan and is sending a letter to support my claim.im also calling cash advance loan to report this so-called attorney and to check their records.im praying that they havent and will never try to use my info and im checking my credit score and info.only problem is i dont know who to call to report this man to protect my credit from any further damage....but i know im gonna SHUT HIM DOWN

I just got a call as well on both my cell and work number.  AT some point all of us who have been called have filled out an online payday loan application, and I'm guessing did not take it, as I know I didn't.  But, these people have our information and are trying to scare/scam us into paying them whatever random amount of money they come up with.I guarantee if you do not call them back, you will not be taken to jail, your employer will not be notified, or any of the other threats they come up with.  First of all, debts are a civil matter, not criminal.  You cannot go to jail for owing on a loan, as they claim.  Also, if any legal action is being taken a***nst you, it is required that you are notified by the court in which the case has been filed.  But, before a creditor can file a case a***nst you in court, they are required to notify you in writing of the debt, what it's for, blah, blah.Wonder what these bottom feeders would do if someone actually got their attorney to call.  Obviously, they wouldn't be expecting that to happen, so it would be an interesting conversation.

This happened to me today! I am not sure how to handle this so I looked up Shawn Woods to see if it was legit and this website came up.  Thank goodness! Did you get anywhere with your complaint? How should I handle this. I know that I do have an unpaid loan but they didn't give me the correct name of the loan place when I asked.

Then when I finally ***g up they called back and left a voice mail saying if my attorney did not get in touch with them in 48 hours that they would contact my work and tell them that they have a culprit working in their office. I guess they do not know that by making that statement they have violated a federal law as well as a Texas state law. (I live in Houston) I had a free consultation with an attorney and they told me that it was a scam and that attorneys can not notify your employer about a case that you have been charged with. I also goggled the telephone number and found several people being scammed by this Shawn Woods. The best thing I can think of is to ignore them. Eventually they will quit calling. If not tell them you know it is a scam and your attorney is going to file charges a***nst them for fraud. That will probably get them off your back. You also might want to report Shawn Woods to the New York bar****ociation. If you look up Shawn Woods in the bar****ociaction you will find that he does not exist. I hope this was helpfull

some one jus called me from this NUMBER threatenin me to put me behind bars if i didnt pay an amount of 2000 in court or settle this real quik for 400 over the phone, they had all of my information, social #, old job number n address... ***? i asked them for papers and i kept asking questions, they got all frustrated with me and s****ed gettin loud with me, so in the end i told them to email me supp all this stuff and this guy ****s up on me. HELP!!

Maybe it was someone with a ****stani accent. I find it impossible to distinguish between an Indian and a ****stani accent. Btw, Indians and ****stanis absolutely detest each other - religious bigotry.People who do not conform to ****stani belief systems are fair game, no holds barred.That`s why ****stan secceded from India after India won her independence from the Brits in 1948.

They also called me from a different number when I ***g up on him 754-224-4041.  I just came from making a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.  They wanted $5000 to settle out of court.  The nerve of these theives.  I made a big fuss and he s****ed losing his Indian accent.  At first his name was Mark then it became Gregg Foster, with an Indian accent ha!

It's fraud, fraud, fraud.  It is a highjacked number from India.

Received several telephone calls from the Law Office of Shawn Woods. On yes****ay the persona that called was named Ben Manbalo. Today I received a phone call from Greg Foster in then transferred me to Dwayne Smith who said that I had an cash advance outstanding balance of $721.00 and would I like to settled out of court. I ask him who did I have this outstanding  balance with and he said Cash Net America. I told him that I didn't have a payday loan with Cash Net America. He said that Cash Net America is the main name but has several small companies under them. He said that I had to have it settled by Friday, if not it will go to court. He said that he could get the balanced reduce if I wanted to take care of everything by Friday. He told me to hold while he worked out so****ing. When he returned he said that he could reduce the interest rate ($137.36) and my balance is now $583.64. He ask how I was going to take care of it by credit card or debit card. I told him that I didn't have a credit card and could I send a money order. He said no because of check fraud. I told him that I would like to speak to Atty. Shawn Woods and want his number. I was told that I could reach him at the same number but he was out of the office in court. I told him that was find and I will have my attorney to give him a call.  What can be done with people like this?  HELP ! ! !!

I have no idea who this is.

They have called my cell phone and work number repeatedly today and they have my social security number, home address and bank account information supposedly for a payday loan from November 2008 from Allied Cash Advance. Supposedly it was Charles Galor or Taylor from Shawn Woods Law Office (very poor English). Told the man I never had a payday advance from any company from November 2008 and he s****ed to threaten me with check fraud, so I ***g up. Has all the makings of a sacm to me.
