Filthy language and racist comments. They are disgusting callers.

This number belongs to an en***y claiming to be EMPOWER (an energy supplier). When I received the call, the guy had a thick Indian accent, the feel of the call was shady (sounded like a home office in the background), and they claimed to be affiliated with Con Edison. They called before and somehow tricked my mom into telling them the account number, and when she told them to wait until I came back, they became very aggressive/persistent calling back a dozen times. I called Con Edison and told them to block any attempts to switch my energy supplier. Folks: If they call and do not seem to know who you are, they are up to no good. Legitimate companies with whom you have an existing business relationship do not need to be this aggressive; you are already their customer!

Actually, it depends on the state, but there ARE state statutes of limitation on debt in most states. It varies from state to state. A debt over 10 years old is beyond any statute I've heard of.

Same here. Can't even call back it doesn't even ring. Filing an FTC complaint, not like that will do any good.

They are trying to collect a bill from 1996, I told them that the statue of limitations has ran out for this bill and to stop calling my house and they keep calling. Who can I report this to?
