I got a call from Marshal Ash 631 924-0452.  Didn't know the name.  When I looked it up, I found this site.  Thanks everyone.

This caller called on 4 separate occasions this time that I dealt with them.  The first was stating that their records showed our chimney service was overdue.  I had told them the previous season that we were having it cleaned by someone else.  This time they offered a half off discount for their services.  I asked for a contact number so I could discuss with husband. They claimed their incoming line was not accepting calls so they could not give a number. They called a***n while I wasn't home but did not leave a message.  The third time they called they woke my husband and he made an appointment. They did not leave contact information. When they called a***n on the day of services I cancelled the service the caller identifying himself as Mike said his boss would be calling to confirm the cancellation, I asked for a number that I could call and he gave me 860-269-7333 which was the number he was calling me from at the time of this 4th call and came up as Wireless Caller. This phone number was given as a contact number for a company calling themselves Chimney Co. with a number that came up originally as 631-924-0452 and the name was Marshall Ash Inc. on the caller id.

This is definitely a hoax.  Caller ID shows Marshall, Ash In.  The message was from Patrick at (garbled and not understandable) Communications Group who says that we have won a car and they have been trying to reach us.  This is in response to an entry form submitted in our name in the last 4 to 18 months. (Not true).  He adds that this call is not a marketing call, time share, or cold call and that it is not in violation of the do-not-call list because they "would not be calling us unless we had actually entered"  (Not true).  He states that this is a "time sensitive matter" and asks that we call as soon as possible 1-877-279-3457 ext 243.  We are reporting it to the Do-Not-Call registry.  We will check on the availability of the *57 reporting service for our phone company too.

We keep getting calls from this number and the caller ID appears as "Marshall Ash In."

Just got a call from this number this morning, looked it up to see if others had gotten one. As soon as I picked up (after it waking me up) the phone began ringing a***n and I promptly ***g up, that's never a sign of a call I want to parti****te in. My call ID also said "MARSHALL, ASH IN"

This # calls several times and never leaves a message... Caller ID this time said: MARSHALL, ASH INTried to call back and rang about 15-20 times then got a busy signal.

I called my local phone provider to report these numbers for harrassment 631-924-0452 and 631-924-0324. They tell me there is a way to report these calls:When they call, answer then **** up and then hit *57. You need to do this a minimum of three times (in other words this guy needs to call you THREE times) and you need to answer, **** up and hit *57 each time. At that point it will be reported to your carriers annoyance/harrassment department. I am hoping if everyone who reads this does this every time he/they call somebody will do so****ing???  You may want to contact your phone carrier first to make sure they have this process and what, if anything they charge you. (Unbelievable that with everything going on in this world we have to contend with idots like these,eh?).

CALLER ID comes up as New York. Mike says my chimney cleaning is overdue according to his computer. When I tell him to remove me from his computer he abruptly ****s up.

This guy has been calling our house and then ****ing up. and then it's busy when you try to call back. Who can we report this to that will actually do anything about it? Apparently the "do not call" list isn't working.

I just received a call 03/03/2010 7:39 P.M. from a guy who identified himself as Mike. He represented himself as a employee of a bogus Chimney Co. ...."I just want you to know that your chimney cleaning service is overdue"..... I told him I was a police officer from a local town,that I was aware of bogus chimney scams and this sounded like one. After this he ***g up. I plan on passing this along to my local law enforcement agency. Caller I.D. shows the call fron N.Y. 631-924-0452.

This number called me just a few minutes ago.  The caller ID says "New York" and the man on the phone was asking for "the lady of the house"... I replied with "and whats this in regard to",  as he tried to hold back a laugh he said "the chimney service".  I then said, with a very big at***ude to let him know it was a hoax,  "Out of New York State? and he ***g up the phone on me.  After trying to call back the number it was busy.  Don't let him ask you for your credit information!!!
