Call was a robo call in Spanish - why are they wasting my cell mins.

Actually maybe a data collecter, who is trying to find a meaningful relationship between IP addresses and certain cell phone numbers, and monitoring searches made after placing a call.....(partly joking) I have been getting texts from banks that I don't even use, trying to get info. I also got a call last month from a 202 DC number that I reported to the DCPD as a phishing scam (wanted me to "confirm" my own ID with information like my birthday and SSN.) Although it may not be related at all, I have noticed several silent callers from "Unknown" this last week. And yes****ay, a Spanish speaking male called from 213-908-5152 several times and asked "Espagnol?" But maybe the real ppl behind these phone calls are not even Spanish speaking ppl? And the call from the 213 area code could be an honest wrong number, but they did call 3 times same day. ***ody usually calls me, they text. I have less than 5 contacts. Received call from prerecorded female spanish speaker, not sure what she said; but I have report the number to the national do not call list. My number was reigstered 6 months ago. Maybe they will stop calling everyone.

As soon as you list a phone number on a yahoo profile, even through there account verification thing, you s**** getting calls.  Way to go Yahoo.

Received call from this number at 10:10am PST on my personal cell phone.  Did not answer, did not leave message.

I just picked up a call from this number and it had a weird automated voice saying I had won some "travel dollars" and I need to press 1 to accept.  I weirded out and ended the call.

Received a call from this number at 9:13pm Central Time. When I answered, it sounded like a recording of a female voice in Spanish. I ***g up immediately and did not call the number back. Is this a scam? Telemarketers? What????

Oddly enough when I called the number from my work line.  The message I got sounded like a Powercompany."Hello this is a Sketchy Power Company."The did not leave a message on my phone though.

I got a call this am.  A pause and then a recording in Spanish.  I said I don't speak crook.  The caller said "excuse me?"  I said this number is on the do not call list and I will be filing charges of harassment and other crimes.  She said "F" you and I said tu madre.  My version of yo' mama.

I got this # calling at 8:15 am PST.  No message.  Thought it might be a bill collector...but I don't have bills to be collected upon...Hmmm.  No messagee

I got a call on 3/3/2010 3:26 pm.  I'm on the Indiana Do Not Call List (one of the toughest in the country).  Thankfully, they didn't leave a voicemail.

Just got a call a moment ago.  Silence for a few seconds and then a system voice saying "zero zero six four one".

same here!  JUST NOW at 10:00 pm EST ****s!  No message... i called back and i hope it's not one of those slammers that get your phone number and use it for long distance...I'm going to call my carrier tomorrow and give them the low down...*****s!!

just ****s up on my voicemail, keeps calling while i am working so i can't pick up.

Calls from that number are a trick intended to find out whether or not anyone answers the phone. This is a tactic utilized by debt collectors unsure if they have a valid number of if they're being ignored.

I MISSED A CALL TO MY CELL PHONE ON 03-02-2010 @ APPROX. 1:00 PM, PST. CALLER LEFT RECORDED MESSAGE IN SPANISH. WHEN I CALLED BACK, A RECORDING SAID THAT THE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN SERVICE.

This was a recording in Spanish. I believe it is illegal to call outbound in any language. Perhaps they are calling illegals and they won't complain. Hopefully, they steal all their money and they have to go home!
