Me too, I agree I wish DO NOT CALL LIST WORKED but it does not :-(

They've made two phone calls this week,  (647-288-3817) naming someone in this house, from Scotia customer service or another... won't let me carry a message. Shows up as from Toronto.

calls constantly , getting sick of it !!

01116472883817 is how it pops up on my phone (I use Vonage VoIP)If it's an important call, I.e., you're mortgage is in err's,   BELIEVE ME, they'll identify themselves on a voice mail with instructions for you to call them back.  Guaranteed.I suspect it's probably Scotia Bank (East India) call centre.  I answered once, and it was Scotia Bank, but the gentlemen on the other end had a very thick (what I believe to be) East Indian accent.I politely told him that I've instructed Scotia Bank to NOT call me, and ***g up....I get this number popping up in groups of 3 or 4 times a day, at various times.  Then would go silent for about a week, and then resume.  Don't they get it, 90+% of the population has Caller ID -- And since I pay for voice mail, that's all any number that calls me gets to hear.  I'll reply back if it's important.

I had a 6x freakin' call from 647 288 3817 @ the same day, i wasn't able to pick up because i silent my cell (which is a good thing) and i d not owe anything from them and they do call every single day....they need to shut up and leave us alone

Got at call yes****ay 6 pm.  Man claiming to be work for telecommunications company for Scotia Bank and trying to sell accidental ***** insurance.  I ***g up.

called my cell phone don't know who it is ? probabaly a telemarketer

I also have a Scotia Account, but no overdue fees etc...called me at 5:00 pm, I did not answer, they did not leave a message, but I am****uming since I do have a scotia account that is what it was.

Just got the call as well and from Scotia - don't have a mortgage or anything with them and nothing behind. Scotia's been doing a lot of cold calling lately trying to get their members onto additional products. Gal I spoke to was nice even after I said that I wasn't interested in obtaining any additional services at this time.Oh how I wish the Do Not Call List was actually useful.

I got the call today too.Didn't answer. They left no message.i have a bank account with ScotiaBank...no mortgage or any loans.Like others are saying, probably they want to offer financial stuff to make more money!

This # has called me 13 times in the past 2 weeks. They come up as "unknown number" and when you try to call it back to find out who it is, the phone won't even ring. I have put them in my reject file.

I have a scotia account, I am not behind on my mortgage payment and it still calls me.

This number is probably calling because you have had a loan or mortgage that is in default...calls all the time and am behind a payment on a mortgage with them...

Guy with heavy accent, says he is calling from scotia fianancial... i say not interested, he says but..... and i **** up

just got a call from 647 288 3817 - they ***g up when I answered - I am in Vancouver, 647 is an "OVERLAY" number on top of TORONTO 416, since 416 ran out of numbers- it can be anywhere in the entire 416 area code of Toronto. Someone on this forum just stated SCOTIA ( Bank of Nova Scotia ), and since I blocked all 416 calls because of repeated Scotia Bank Telemarketers, this would make sense. Now I have to s**** adding area code 647 calls to the spam filters...

its a unknown caller. they call and **** up all the time. someone should report this number
