Same as above.  Called the number (*67 first of course)They don't even give you a choice to "stay on the line for a real person" type choice.  press 1 to reactivate or disconnect. message "Dear Credit Union customer, we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access.  Call (647)827-2796 to restore your bank account."  Who are these people.  Looks like it s****ed up on 2/1/09.

I received a text message that said "we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access.  Call 647-827-2796 to restore your bank account."  I went online and my bank account is fine.  It's a scam.

This is a scam.  Call your credit union and let them know you received this message but DON'T call the number from the text, call the number they have listed in the phone book.

This is definitely a scam. I called the number and entered bogus information for card number, expiration, and pin. It accepted it. These people need to be reported.

They text me to my cell saying that my account was locked they give me this number to call,I did and they asked your Credit Card #,expiration date and your PIN #, Total Scam.I lookcked up on line and the company's name that they are using is Bank Fund Staff Federal Credit Union Bank.Be carefull and dont be a foul.

This number was texted to me as well. I am the Sprint network....wondering did the thieves steal phone numbers. Urging everyone to also call your bank.

This is a scam. I received the same text as SRS. If you received it as a text, please call your phone carrier to report this. They can address the issue.

I also received a text message from this number.  Asking me to call the number regarding my credit union account.  I don't have an account with a credit union.  Total. Scam.

Call (647) 827-2796 to restore your bank account."  Clearly a scam.  Almost tempted to call just to see what they say.    the text said it was coming from "8877"

I received this number as a text but never called. I google their phone number to see if it was my bank. It was not.

this number called and its a total scam cause they asked for my banking information and no bank/credit union would ever call or text for me to give any of my information out. DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER!!!
