Google needs to put an end to their nonsense.

OK everyone, this is NOT Google.  It is a scam, and they fake the caller ID to make it look as if they are from Google.  Next time you receive a call from this number, do not answer it.  Never provide information about yourself or others unless you are able to verify who the caller is.

I got a call last week, and when I answer, he asked for the person who paid the electric bill. I told him no, that I was happy with the company I was using. Then he said well may I ask who you are using, and I told him no and then I ***g up. Now I'm getting several calls a day from this number.

They called 3 times and today is Memorial day. Although my iPhone showed mountain view, ca I suspect these people to be overseas.

Got a call at 5:50AM...thanks for the wake up call and then not saying anything! The caller id says google inc...what kind of company doesn't understand time zones ?!?!

We just received a call at 10est from this number but missed the call.  When we called back, the message stated we have called a number for Google Maps but do not accept in-bound calls to this number and refered us to a website.  They didn't leave a message.

Foreign male called in and just s****ed asking me questions, "Is this Express Check Advance? Is this the one located @ 9900D Two Notch Rd?" After I responded to both questions, thinking he was a****ential customer, he then said, "thank you ma'am I have just updated your information..." At this point I am exclaiming to this man, "No you will not!! I didnt agree to anything and take our information out your system and dont call here anymore!" I then ended the call and called our home office as we do not have the authority to make any decisions on behalf of the company.

That's just straight ridiculous! If you have Arabic accent, then you must be a *********? That's just straight r@ci$m! Thank about it!

just got a call from a guy asking if my address was my address.  I called out local police, but since thi sis not a local number they can't do anything.  650-253-2000 was the number, the guy had a very strong foreign accent.  It just made me feel funky and I did not even have a chance to aske him anything, he ***g up s quickly.

It is Google maps. Their recorded message sends you right to Google.com/places. But I wouldn't do business with them for the simple fact that the person who called & got my answering ma****e did nothing but breath heavily into the phone. It's an employer's market out there. Hire some competent people.

I got a call from this California # at 8:30 AM...didnt answer it...called it back from another phone and stated it was Google Maps but not taking inbound calls...so then tough i wont take their call either.

Claimed that they were a patient looking for a nearby clinic to have therapy at and wanted to verify my address and asked if I had a website so that he could view information about the clinic.  Found out that it was Google Maps calling.

We just received a call at 6:45 MST from this number but missed the call.  When we called back, the message stated we have called a number for Google Maps but do not accept in-bound calls to this number and refered us to a website.  They didn't leave a message, but it is definately Google.  We're shocked at the time they called.

No it's definitely google. My iPhone said it's from mountain view in CA, which is where google is based.

Got a call from 650-253-2000, highly distorted line sound quality. They immediately told me are you at so and so? I ask who the where, all I got was we are "verifying a business directory listing". If the **** head said he was from Google, I'd be okay with it!  Not some unknown foreign voice from India or Malaysia who is looking to steal my iden***y. Google get your act together. A simple courtesy of properly addressing people would be nice and identifying themselves would be good. But this is the difference with North America standards and culture, vs other places. Stop outsourcing your jobs and bring them home to America.

Just got a call from this number.  The caller wanted to confirm our business address.  If this is, in fact, googlemaps, I think they should identify themselves.

I just received a phone call from this number and want to report it. They said they were with google maps. It was an arabic accent and I suspect it to be *********s trying to get information , I want it investigated.

Just got a call from 650-253-2000 the woman stated she was updating their directory and wanted the physical address to our location. When I gave her our Crestview office address she questioned our office in Fort walton beach. I just called the number and a voice message came on " Thank you for calling Google Maps"Which also somone from their just logged onto my website. I can see that.

Just got a call from that person, asking for landmarks as well. Strange indeed,

Received two calls from this number today...1st one was someone breathing on the line with no response...2nd call came seconds later...A female was asking for landmarks near our area.  She would not tell me why or whether or not she was coming to visit one of our employees...Strange and very unprofessional.
