Leave a Commentreceived call from 650-587-1572. I also signed up for xoom..
this number called me a minute ago. Man i did signed up with xoom last week. I never thought this could be a scam or so****ing.
Same thing happened with me. Just signed up with Xoom a few days ago, and got a missed call from this number. I'm having second thoughts about Xoom now...
This happened to me as well 2 days after signing up and a few hours after making a transaction. I've contacted Xoom regarding the issue and was told that the number and they said that the phone number has no affiliation with Xoom, though they may be using it under the Xoom name. I responded back concerned about how this person had obtained my phone number (along with all of your numbers) and am awaiting a response. I'm extremely concerned because I entered some very sensitive data in there, such as bank account numbers, billing addresses, full names, etc.
Exact same thing happened to me. I signed up for Xoom less than 48 hours ago and received a call from this number. I'm cancelling the account there.
Someone tried to use my name & email address to fraudulently sign up for Xoom. I got a call from this number asking about "the account you signed up for" AFTER I'd called Xoom and had them freeze the account. So if this is in fact Xoom calling, their fraud department doesn't speak to their marketing department. Either way, ick.
Same issue. Signed up with Xoom last night, just received a call. Didn't answer since I didnt recognize the number. They lleft no voicemail.
i just got a call from that number too. 1 minute ago
Signed up for Xoom yes****ay got this call today, they ***g up on my voice mail. Since I used my Google voice for just this purpose I'm blocking them.Lots of complaints from people who just signed up for Xoom getting calls from this #
Signed up for Xoom yes****ay got this call today, they ***g up on my voice mail. Since I used my Google voice for just this purpose I'm blocking them.
Wow! This is crazy after I read some of the comments about Xoom! I made an account last night and was about to send money through, but I end up didn't. Someone called me with that number and when I pick up and say "Hello!" They **** up on me and then later another phone call didn't appear any numbers it just appear a question mark (?) on my phone. I didn't pick up! Now that I don't feel like sending money through Xoom any more! I'm going to stick with Western Union.
Signed up with xoom yes****ay sent $40.00 to South Africa this morning and 5 hours later this # called me. When I picked up the person ***g up on me. If xoom is a scam I will charge my $40.00 back since I used a cc.
also created a xoom acct a day ago. got this call today, answered and ***ody spoke, just ***g up. concerning! any answer from xoom?
Yup, samt thing happened to me, it seems like. I picked up and said*****o in different language, he or she just ***g up on me. Is it safe to use xoom? It don't feel like it.... I didn't use xoom anyways since their exc****e rate was way lower than the market and looks like that's how they make their money. I might make sense to send less than $500 than it's cheaper than the bank's charge. hope this helps.
Same problem from Xoom with this number. Robert
Signed up for Xoom - then I got a call.
This number is a landline based in Redwood City, CA Carrier BROADWING COMMUNICATIONS, LLC Just ignore the call
also signed up for xoom twos days ago and received this call did not answer
This guy called me asking how I like the Xoom money sending website I had recently signed with. I mentioned I hadn't used it yet and he asked me why not. I said I lived in Hawaii, and he said so****ing garbled that I sounded like they don't work with that country. When I called the number back, I got a voice mail saying< "this is Jack. Please leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I called many times for about 20 minutes and actually got threw to "Jack" who continued to purport he worked for Xoom, while I heard another person seemingly on a phone call too, like a phone bank. He tried to get me to do a transaction and i said I'd just said I'd use the website. I called Xoom and they said that they are not familiar with this phone number, so ignore the call. I expressed concern as to how my phone number got from the Xoom website to this guy - was it by hacking or by someone working at Xoom since both are in the San Franci******y area!! The Xoom person said they forward the issue to someone.
someone called me from this number, but ***ody speak. I called back, ***ody answer my call.
i didn't pick up either. it says "california call."
