I was reached out regarding my item on OfferUp to purchase my couch and loveseat and same thing will send a cashier’s check and then text to send a check through the mail

Trying to buy off of offer up claiming a check will be sent through email.

Luis contacted me through OfferUp and immediately went to email outside the app, saying that movers would pick up the item and I should give them the difference between the price of the item and a cashier’s check he would send. The check was not delivered and we have canceled any transaction. Like he told others, he said he was purchasing for his ***her.

They will call or text you about buying an item from offer up to gift it to them ***her and it's a scam with a fake cashier's check. They will even send you the check online to take your money asap.

Reached out to buy off of Offer up, provided fake cashiers check for payment.
